    Hey all,
    An elderly relative has got one of these to reduce cash transactions, when topping up in a shop, do you use your card to top up.

    The card is extemly expensive, not a wise choice.

    Top Up in shop with Cash only with high cost: €10-€350: €2.99 | €351-€500: €3.99. You present the card to the cashier, give them your money and they top up the card after deducting the fee.

    Also each time the card is used to pay there is cost again: 2.95% of transaction value Min 0.75c, Max €2.95

    It might be wiser to get a free EBS account for your relative if they don't have an account yet.
