Saturday's card is by far the best of the week. Really looking forward to it.

    12.40 Dirty Rascal 33/1 ew 5 places

Moved from the Hannon yard to Tom Ward and was put in the deep end in listed class for his first run, but was only beaten 2 1/4L by a horse rated 111. The 3rd rated 109, has since won 2 class 2 h'caps and a group 3 by 5 lengths. Off 96 here I think he can outrun his odds.

I've also done a double on Quadrilateral and Pinatubo.
Willing to forgive both for their guineas run.

    GL

Yep he is a bit of an enigma. That's only the second time I have backed him. He looks the type who could make up into a cup horse next year if they stuck with him. But you would like to see him do it before you'd consider him a betting proposition going forward.

Yep the form book can be chucked out the window really. I have had about half the bets I would usually have at Ascot and have also cut my usual stake in half also.

Yes some of the form looks haywire but in fairness this year is not a normal Ascot. Most horses had no prep race(s) -those that had were making a quick reappearance and to add to it the ground 's gone soft.

This 2 year old of Jessie's Zipppiedoodah? Is bigger than I expected, did it very easily last week on debut and I remember thinking to myself that's a smart one, you'll not get a price on it next time.
In against the big teams like o Brien and Wesley ward very quickly after winning a maiden that could turn out to be rubbish but it was the impression it gave that I can't ignore. I think she could be a big price at 18's 4 places.

Would be laying pinatubo today, Appleby horses are running poor enough and enough in the rest of the field. Gosden horse was impressive in Newcastle lto

Arizona becoming very backable at these prices.

Might as well have ran these donkeys at southwell

    150/1 winner of the Coventry.
    And another Aidan O'Brien shocker.
My best idea today was not to have a bet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭posturingpat

Only question is how was it only 150/1. :pac:

Was thinking the very same thing. Good value e/w. Plus he doesn’t have Moore on his back. Caught behind a wall of horses in the Coventry, not that he might have won, but the horse never had a chance

I think they had more than 300,000 entries in the free ITV7 competition (pick seven winners and win 200k?)
How many left in it now? Probably only those who eat at Nando's.

    Fair play to them :pac:

Probably less than 20% of those are "shrewdies"/ study the form types.
    Who's laughing now?

    20 at 17.5 Positive.
Perhaps the others had a hard race last time.

Im going to give the favorite the benefit of the doubt for the last day. Hoping he will come on for the run.

Hopefully pinatubo was just not fit the last day but he did look small in the paddock

Going with the fresh Positive @16s

yep another hype job unfortunately and don't be fooled into thinking the winners up to much either , All we have left is siskin

Pinatubo would take some beating over 7f, barely gets that mile. Winner was good on the day

Jason Weaver must've had some wedge on Pinatubo. Doing some crying.

Ya spot on. 7f probably be his trip.

Nearly as bad as Keane last night, does have a point though. Thought myself buick could of held on to him a bit longer in both ascot and newmarket

Ill give Khaadem one more chance with the ground drying, he’s been shown up in better company before, it would be funny if Crowley pipped Frankie to the top jock aswell with Frankie having no runners left after this.

    great race that

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 704 ✭✭✭BoldReason

People were saying he could beat Battaash.

Savage ride by Kevin Stott. Something I've never said before I'm sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭The Tetrarch

Still no Royal Ascot winner. Backed Sceptical.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭posturingpat

Great run from Sceptical, will have learnt tonnes from that. Never faced that caliber of animal before.

In fairness that was a group 2 in all but name. He'd be lapped by a decent group 1 sprinter.

Still a decent horse in fairness.

Battash and then the rest is the way it is. Irish sprinters are pigs so it was a fair step up. I could see him picking up one big one this season.

    Angel Alexander at 21s. :(

That's probably it alright. The flying 5 in the curragh which is now a group 1 would be a soft enough race I'd imagine. He'd likely win that unless something sprouts wings in the meantime.

He's the "Too Darn Hot" of 2020. Could well see him win the Sussex over an easy mile at Goodwood.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 704 ✭✭✭BoldReason

Jesus christ Kevin Stott with another absolute belter of a ride. Beat everything on the far side by about 5L.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 704 ✭✭✭BoldReason

5L a bit much ahaha but definitely looked to be better to be near side.

O'Brien running horses like they are bumper cars what a joke - glad they were beat

Fairplay to the crowd from lombardstown know their onions when it comes to breeding it seems

Thanks Aidan, long shot value on twitter with 5/1 winner followed by 40/1 winner.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 704 ✭✭✭BoldReason

A turn up for the books as Willie Mullins does not win the bumper.

    Good race that in fairness.
