    "following the science"

As if science were a fixed thing rather than an ongoing attempt to get at the truth.

    No "might be" about it

Might be or not doesn't matter a jot. If people want to know the true scale of Covid 19 then the figures should be that of people who died because of the virus.

Including those who happened to have the virus when they died artificially inflates the figures and it shouldn't be done that way.

"Ireland handled it well"...eh no we didn't, we made a bollix of it, especially the nursing homes when we knew clearly weeks before that this was where certain trouble would be.

    "Social distancing"

    "Self Isolating" is a tautology.

In this together...eh no, some people do not give a flying fook about following any kind of advice or guidelines and it's not just scummer mc scumbags either, it's hobknobs too. The buyers of 4 loaves of bread, 30 rolls of toilet roll, sitting on the do not sit public transport seats, not able to understand that lines you are in a q for mean you wait at the line, party time and socialising with their bell end mates etc etc.

    Cocooning

    Hate the phrase so much

    "We call this cocooning"

We have a winner, what an utterly awful invented euphemism.

The "in this together" ****e was painful to listen to, especially when from day 1 I could see such flagrant zero ****s given by a large proportion of the populace. Groups of teens hanging around, people not even able to follow arrows in shops, people ignoring the "3 people in a shop" sign on the window and the spotty teen behind the counter not arsed calling people out on it, people not bothering to sanitize hands entering supermarkets, people breathing down your neck at the checkouts despite clear signage, house parties everywhere, travellers disobeying the funeral guidelines, nearly 100 incidents of Gardai being spat at, Gemma O'Doherty, rural pubs staying open on the QT.

    In this together? Absolutely not.

F*ck off with your new normal up yer hole!!!

    The new normal
When I hear that, I'm replacing it with "the really fscking annoying". Normal makes it sound like something we should settle for.

    "the new normal"

anybody who says that is a thick cnut

It's not a phrase as such but the people on media and business leaders etc...who use this and then comment that we will never be the same again - speaking and acting like social distancing will be with us forever....morons.

or the "till a vaccine"...fcuk off
