As i said shout down and sneer whenever your unable to engage to shut down debate...i havnt mentioned any government policies in that post.....

as i said anyone who dare Qs logic of getring into disputes with greiving families must be shouted down (imagine considering this as barrel scraping critism...wtf)

Agh yes....spouting conspiracies in place of political discussion to shut down discussion....yawn

It's very simple if FF/FG were so great theyd be able to knock any faux criticism out of the park, but they cant. So it's shinners and what not. The mystery is where all the FG votes went and why? Actually that's no mystery.

Let me explain it again with the facts.

FACT 1: Two ministers of state already got this salary under the previous government for doing a particular job, so it is not a new payment, it is not a payrise on an existing salary.

FACT 2: Three ministers of state got appointed by this government to do the same particular job, instead of two. The third one is a woman.

FACT 3: You and other posters don't want this woman to get the same rate for the same job.

FACT 4: We owe Mary Mitchell O'Connor a few bob

A few days ago you wanted to give all TD minimum wage? Your opinion changes like the wind

    New directive?

I thought we were allowed change our opinions when we wanted?

That was the prevailing opinion when FF got lamped with some hypocrisy when it came to this story.

Like Barry Cowen and Jack Chambers?

At least we got rid of one of them. Hopefully Jack's "liberalism" will do him in eventually.

You are suggesting that TDs get paid 45-47k.

    That is way too low.

Newly-qualified accountants aged 26 in Dublin get 48k.

Sol in late 20s in Dublin can earn towards 70k.

Given that being a TD involves long hours, always being available, I think twice the average wage is fair enough.

    95k.

Now, travel expenses should be reduced.

Don't know why people bring up accountants and solicitors, it's a tiny niche sector, would they employ 4-5 k people between them.

Most likely to last 4 years, The Green’s won’t pull this government down IMO

They can't because they would be smashed if an election was called, doubt it will last 4 years though.

The €16000 pay rise the 2 super juniors got is very unpopular with the public, over this end Naughton is getting a lot of grief about it.

So what will bring the government down? It’s looking likely that Only FG would gain by bring the government down, I can’t see the popularity being depleted staying in Government IMO, and having to draw up a new PfG as they are unlikely to an overall majority.

Generally with JSA and JSB you apply for holiday AFAIK you get a week or 2, the payment is suspended until you return from holidays, on your return you get backpay. If you fail to tell the department then you risk losing your payment, at the very least you’ll have 2 weeks deducted.

Well I suppose if she's willing to do "the bit of cleaning" around the place we should give her a biteen extra

Hopefully now folk will begin to realise that we are being gamed biggo.

Tipping around, doing ‘this and that’ on the edge of the envelope .

Time we put the boot in on these tossers.

The amount of piss taking with the covid payments is insane, luckily its being so heavily publicised that it might make people think about all the other payments being abused in the system.

Plenty of gobshytes writing on the back pages of newspapers don’t agree.

Lefty tossers and smoked salmon socialists.

    Curmudgeons.

Yeah, we have junior ministers pay hikes to think of.

Not allowing them back in would be a logical step.

They tried to leave the state to return to Brazil but didn't cancel their covid payments. They would have continued to receive the PUP into their accounts every week

What role will Eoin Murphy have in Fine Geal now there is a new housing minister?

Eoghan Murphy is a Fine Gael TD, so his role is the same as any government TD backbencher who is not a member of the cabinet etc.

Yes of course. And I agree with your original point.
Loads of backlash over the rise now, probably be a pay row with teachers and medical unions and most public service unions.
    It wasn't a smart move.

He has some organisational position within FG, liaising between membership and parliamentary party or somesuch...

Don't we all? Now if you could explain how paying useless turds like Chambers and crony nobodies like Hackett and Naughton €140,000 a year achieves that i'll be very impressed.
