His/their shift seems to be outside of 5pm-9pm

Was down at the club playing 9 holes, dude.

I love nothing more than a good wet and windy day to play golf, Murph. Nothing better.

I suppose there is some merit in that while you blamed somebody else you didn't blame the Shinners for this one. :D

That would be Tats job or is it Tit :D
O'Laoghaire was good today on this if I'm scoring and he didn't have the luxury of 2 sharp civil servants beside him

9 holes in spilling rain and getting dark. You’d normally question the rationale behind it but it’s just an almighty load of bollocks like the rest of what you claim to be.

At least say it was 18 and the weather turned.

You should have took Norma with you. She had a bad auld evening in the car crash press conference and laughable six one performance

Calm down, dude. I played 9 holes of golf down the club. Played well btw.

It’s not my issue if you don’t believe me.

    Its your reasoning thats silly
No minister gets to drill into software, they hire experts to do that
The experts wrote a programme that did something never tried before and there's been a glitch
If pearse Doherty was in charge, the exact same thing would have happened
The hands up with the fix is very helpful IMO
The first part of your post has nothing to do with this

An education minister does not need to know coding, tap dancing or who shot J.R. to be responsible for what goes on in her department.

You inferred the Education minister wasn't responsible for what goes on in her department because it was a coding error and she's not a coder. That's the height of apologist nonsense.

Absolutely. They should have tested it on procurement.
    The Dept is a shambles.

It's tough on students who missed out on their first choice surely and if they wish to pursue it now will probably have to wait a year.
They were assured all possible was being done to ensure their grades were absolutely correct and a wet week after the results this comes up.
It's a serious situation and will leave thousands disappointed

But I'd be wary of saying the dept is a shambles because of it.
That's just bull juice of a soundbite.

It's not a soundbite...review the year these students have had and tell me it has been as good as it could have been even with Covid.

Dithering and bungling coupled with a final coup de grace of running software that obviously hadn't been tested. Students now sitting waiting for news on their future again.

It isn't just a shambles of a Dept it is an omnishambles as others have said.

Any “coder” will tell you that testing is vital to ensure the programs are to spec and are signed off by end users to say that they do what is expected and the results are acceptable. We just seem to be unable to do anything correctly, and I’m sorry but this issue was always loaded, it was always going to be emotive and divisive, but to then go along and cock it up so spectacularly is mind blowing. Someone has to be accountable to the students, and heads need to roll over it.

Explained really well here. One line of code wrong is rubbish and blame spreading.

Just gloss over the issues outlined for the Ministers competence and the Dept's oversight Nobotty.
You are getting rumbled here as another apologist.

I'm not playing that game with you
Come back when you've evidence and I'll comment on it
You're going to be treated no differently by me than anyone else here
    That would be respectfully
See what I think is a cart before the horse and expect me to say it
Speaking of which, I've 1 min before my carriage turns into a pumpkin so I must go to bed
I'll continue in the morning if needed
    Good night

The responsibility was put at FF/FG and the Greens.

    For this I don't agree
    Ministers are not coding experts

Press conference-looks like some grades too high but will stand
Looks like those down graded are being allowed to go onto a course they thought they couldn't but can now

If I was them for the year that's in it,I'd defer the course and start it next year and avoid the pandemic

That's your comment that I am responding to.
The department and minister are responsible for what happens under their remit. FF/FG and the Greens own it.
Thats it, no tit for tat.

It would have been a bad year if no results had been available at all, no exams.
    It was achieved though.
A mistake was made in the grading system and it has been spotted, internally, and the process is underway to sort it.
I'd be waiting to see how the affected student fare out after this.

Leo was trying to steal the shinners homework again yesterday.

Man's no shame at all it seems. :)

He does get up the nose of SF’s online army something fierce, Murph. Nasty enough bunch when it comes to Leo’s ethnic background and sexuality. I thought SF were a party dedicated to radical socialism, inclusivity, and a shared future. They might want to tell some of their less intelligent online foot soldiers.

As for this - same as the insurance reform. Just because some SF no mark shouted about it in the Dáil, or put forward some badly written piece of proposed legislation doesn’t mean no one else can do anything about it.

Think a fair few SF supporters are getting confused about this sort of thing. Not sure they really get how legislation is formed or how the organs of the State work. Of course SF don’t actually recognise most of the structures of the Irish Republic so you wouldn’t expect them to be doing anything to educate their online army. We aren’t dealing with particularly intelligent people for the most part. High levels of gullibility.

When you're throwing around racist and homophobic insinuations because people are laughing at the emperor being stark naked you're losing John.

    Losing in a big way.

Sure wasn’t a SF representative questioning his suitability to be a politician because of his sexuality and his ethnic background. And he wasn’t even thrown out of SF. Of course some of the more knuckle-dragging element of the SF online army supporters support these views. The Wolfe Tones greatest hits sorts.

    Juice Francie.

Achieved at a massive and unnecessary cost. Due to incompetence and dithering.
And it didn't begin with the present minister either.

I'll be waiting to see the above have consequences.

That's just a load of arse biscuits to be fair, if you want to tar a whole party with one brush, you go ahead but I don't think it's fair personally to suggest fg are a party of fascism worshiping, tax dodging insurance scammers that have a penchant for attacking lads in pubs with broken pint glasses.

Well if you took the time to read my posts in context instead of taking one out of context you'll know that I'm saying ministers cannot be responsible for coding errors in programmes
So yes you're looking for tit for tat and you can get that elsewhere thanks

It doesn't suit the FG fanatics to get that point McMurphy. It's attack attack attack. :)

P.S. I thought the SF councilor stupidly inferred that Leo wasn't suitable because he was 'not a parent' and not because of his sexuality and definitely said that Leo was 'Irish'.
But then Johnny and his fellow fanatics never let the truth get in the way of a good rant, did they?
