lettuce being eaten- homemade repellent/remedy?

Hi there, Im noticing my lettuce leaves are being eaten, not badly yet but want to stop whatever it is in its tracks! The lettuces are in pots and containers on deck. Do you know of any natural homemade repellent? Thanks

If they're in pots, copper bands. Beer traps, too.

My dad sprays wd40 on the sides of the plant pots and the slugs dont climb up ..
Copper rings work ... But ninja slugs will climb any leaf that overhangs the copper ...
Beer traps work brilliantly ... Especially if you use small shallow tub ...

All of the above assume that it's slugs ... If it's something else they won't make any difference .. ( caterpillars ,flea Beatle )

Yeah I dont actually think its slugs tbh...im not seeing any around the place, or silver trails etc..
