What happened to the ghost estates?

    I remember there was a lot of talk about ghost estates around Ireland. People swore most would be knocked down and returned to farming. What ultimately happened to them? I don't think we need to go into how the finance side worked and Nama just simply if they were completed, demolish or stand in ruins.

    Many in rural areas (and some badly built in towns) were demolished.

    More still were completed and are now housing families around the country.

    A handful are still boarded up or recently retuned to market.

    Larry Goodman And other rich people bought them all for a song and is charging welfare family’s serious rent which the tax payer pays .

    They all eventually got finished over the last 5 years are so.
