Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Never mind the pubs or anything else, the end of these ****ing zoom group song things will be the single greatest thing about lockdown being over.

Between these and those awful poems I never want to lay eyes on Imelda May again.

    It's absolute magic.

If im watching something that doesn't entertain me, I change the channel. Seems stupid to me to watch something that annoys you or doesn't entertain you. Some people aren't happy unless they're moaning I guess.

Your missing the point though. I'm grand with not watching it. It's the having to pay for this complete and utter shíte part whether I watch or not part that písses me off.

It's not just this tonight. It's almost anything RTE put out. If I don't like Netflix, Amazon prime, sky, whatever, I can just cancel it. If I don't pay for RTE I go to jail. ðŸ‘

Few hours entertainment there, ya know something as bad and all as it is it's something, I've donated €50 to it there and as the government is matching up to €3 million that's €100 in my head, bad an all as it is at least it's something

They look very tired standing there. Jennifer had to change her shoes with the feet probably being painful. It’s a warm, humid night and taking the life out of them.

Great to see such positivity here tonight for a charity event. Christ, cheer the **** up people or change the channel.
Irish Begrudgery. Unfair to be comparing rte with Bbc considering the vast difference in budget and viewing population.

Even if it does the player will will crash multiple times while viewing and play three adds each and every time you try to go back to where you were. Again, pure value for money.

They all left for a pee I’d say and RTÉ couldn’t afford Nicky’s appearance fee for more then an hour or two I’d say. Leave Jenny and Nicky on and let the rest off screen.

Sure they're hardly standing there for all the VT bits? It's 3 mins here and there??

Has that insufferable wagon maeve higgins been on.jesus she's about as funny as covid 19.

    And that's hilarious in comparison
He didn't sell it, it was taken from him.
The gypos even tore the copper pipes out of it.
    Filan is a chancer.

Knew all that except the Gypos bit. :D

Friend of mine bought a house from Nama round here too and there wasn't a scrap of metal left when he took ownership.

Irish Begrudgery. Unfair to be comparing rate with Bbc considering the vast difference in budget and viewing population.

RTE choose to waste tons of their budget on
    A) salaries of TV 'stars' with average talent
    b) unnecessary American exports
    c) sending their overpaid TV presenters on travel show junkets
    d) an abundance of terrible comedy shows that have no focus on providing quality.

CH4 have less budget than BBC and still do a great job. TG4 get less budget and still churn out quality TV.

This just reminds me how much hard work the main characters of Normal People are.

It would look more natural if they were sitting on couches and chairs, maybe in a “home” type setting with a telly in the corner, a pretend bottle of something on the table, kind of appearing to be watching the scenes along with us.

I imagine if there was English equivalent live commentary thread, you would get the same 'I hate this bollox' 'What was that sh1te' 'Can't believe I'm paying a License Fee for this'
