Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hot water setting heating all zones

We've a 3 zone heating system - living area , bedrooms and hot water.
I've just noticed that when I have only the water heater on (and other 2 zones off) the system is sti heating the radiators in the bedrokms.

What could be causing this ? I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this before ? Could a pulp be gone or something ?

I'm pretty clueless this area - please forgive any inaccuracies in terms used.

Did anyone remove the heads from the zone valves? A pic of the hotpress might help. Could also be a problem with a zone valve or programmer.

Was it always this way or only started recently?
Did you do any works on the heating system lately?
When the living section is on does the bedroom heat up then too?

If not it sounds like reverse circulation and tee could be located in the wrong position

    No changes recently at all.
Finally got the got press cleared out.

Photos attached - only hot water on (according to the controller unit), only one "white box " showing as operating (with LED) yet the radiator in the bedroom is hot

the motorised valve for the bedrooms could be stuck open

Remove bedroom actuator and check the valve is closed using pliers to move the peg which engages with actuator. It is 2 screws to remove it. The plate underneath shows where the peg should be for open status.
