Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

low water pressure- extra loft tank???

    Hello folks,
Ever since the water crisis last year, the pressure in my area has been reduced.
I guess it's part of the leak reduction plan.

As a result, we frequently run out of cold water to run the shower.
The loft tank runs to empty and the refill rate is all but a trickle.

Plus, its then a nightmare to clear the Air-lock which results.

What is the best solution here (assuming the water board ignore my requests to restore the pressure) ?

Is a second loft tank the best option?
or are there easier solutions I'm missing?

    Thanks

I would ask them what is the pressure at your stopcock, if you have (their) meter installed they can measure this exactly.
I would be surprised if they had reduced the pressure so much to only allow a trickle into your attic tank.
I would also remove the ball cock complete and see if there is any thing like a bit of gravel stuck in the nozzle, the rubber diaphragm also becomes distorted in these so it may be worth replacing the whole ball cock as they are not very expensive.

    How high is the tank?
What is the pressure like at the kitchen sink?
