    Oh yeah there are some who will ignore, ridicule or even shout it down. It's not the popular view - if it was popular then it wouldn't need such a big campaign to achieve the changes.

    The black lads didn't start campaigning last month. They've been at it for years, decades and generations and they've been ignored, ridiculed or even shouted down. But they stuck at it and eventually they have made ground. Same could be said for gays and women. It took a loooooong time and they endured a lot before they even began to gain popular support.

    Making ground means pushing the boulder up the hill, an inch at a time, for years and in the face of abuse. Groups either do it or they don't.
