Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a terraced roadside house in Cork city which i need to connect to the main sewer which runs down the road outside my house. I am in the process of laying new floors and want to put in the sewer pipe. At what depth should it emerge from my premises so that it can be connected later (after the paperwork is done) to the main sewer?

Depends what level the Main sewer on the road is at . You should be able to get this information from the Council . As long as your pipe come out about 18 inches below ground level outside , you should be OK .

Thank you for getting in touch.

We recommend that you contact a private plumbing company to provide you with the information with regards the private side pipes. If you have any further queries, please get in touch.

    Kind regards,
    Louise

    Thanks for the responses.
Is it the County Council or Irish Water that can tell me or my plumber the invert level for the main sewer - as required to complete the application for connection

    Hi Donalde,

The Planning Department in your Local Authority will be able to provide this information along with the maps if required.

    Alternatively, you can contact datarequests@water.ie.

We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further queries in the meantime.

    Kind regards,
    Louise
