Wellington Phoenix and Atalanta progress

A late run from Besiktas isn't enough to make it place in the knockout rounds. Atalanta qualifying is a suprise because up until an hour ago, they weren't even i this! I double booked a team already involved so had to choose a replacement. Fair play to them. Kiwi outfit Wellington Phoenix are the group toppers and, not only do they play in another country's league (Australia), but they also play in another Confederation since the Socceroos left the Oceania zone for Asia in 2006. Bit of trivia for you there.

I'll leave it there for tonight and pick this up again tomorrow evening most likely as I've got to work all day. Hope you can join us then and hope you're enjoying the competition so far!

Wolfsberger AC - its a strong wolf - and the colour combinations (red and green AS WELL AS black and white stripes) shouldnt really work, but it does for me. Its the sash across it that brings it all together.

Guangzhou Evergrande - i nominated this one and i still think its class. I dont know what animal that is (fire jaguar maybe), but it looks great, and i like the motto in its broken English translation form.

I like the third one as a close 3rd, but the above 2 get my votes.

Chippa, just because it looks a bit different to your standard shield shape logo. The colours work well together.

The other three though are all good. I'll go with Benevento for the novelty of a witch, and Chippa United for the hand. I mean, what even is it? It looks like a Stephen King book cover.

The Chinese side top the group comfortably. So it’s between Wolfsberger and Benevento for the runner up spot, as Electric Nitwit’s vote came after the bell. I personally like the Wolfsberger one better myself but I said I’d take reasons into account and I will. While Baggly gave a very good one, I’m gonna take the point that two other users put forward and that’s the novelty factor. There’s nothing else like it in the competition. It gets the nod here.

Anywho.... Torpedo Moscow - potential winner. It honestly looks like the logo for Dr. Tevil - Dr. Evils off brand counterpart. Its amazing.

Yadanarbon - hadnt seen this before- its a lovely image and very well judged with the blue gradient in the background. Without knowing the history id say the club are well proud of their club and whatever structure the crest depicts.
