Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Atletico Madrid, classy
Love the club too, I played at their training ground in front of a decent crowd. Atleti fans vs Liverpool fans. Think they beat us 6-1 but one of them owned a bar and we had a private party all night afterwards to soften the blow, amazing day :)

Gil Vicente FC, for being so overwhelmingly French :p

Serbian White Eagles - thats pretty awesome and cool name for a club too
Gil Vicente - because of the evil rooster, plus nice color combo, like the dutch flag

Gil Vicente - mental chicken ftw

A great comeback attempt by Atleti but it's not enough to stop the Serbian Canadians and the French Portguese.

Serbian White Eagles and Gil Vicente FC advance

Millwall - it’s a misunderstood lion just reaching out for some cuddles. Just like Millwall fans.

And the dragon in first pic

Callie Thistle - because there's no need for that damn eagle!

Inverness Caledonian Thistle - everyone loves thistles

The dragon gets my vote anyway, not sure about my second choice.

I’ll go for Millwall because I don’t want to be on bad terms with any of their fans.

Deportes Iquique - because we can't have too many dragons in the next round

Inverness Caledonian Thistle - because they're not Millwall

The second one is a bag of tayto colours so I’ll pick that.

    And the Kaiser chiefs.

Maccabi is a beautiful crest, an easy decision to pick them first.

Finding it hard to choose between the other three, so I’m going to have go for Dudelange because it looks like an actual football crest has been ruined by someone messing around with WordArt, and of course that’s a good thing.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is the best of the rest

Kaizer Chiefs - really nice badge. Kaizer Chiefs are the team that Leeds signed the legendary Lucas Radebe from. Which is why the band, who are all Leeds fans, chose it for their name.

    F91 Dudelange - it's a bit different

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,786 ✭✭✭KathleenGrant

Only saw this now. Raging I missed it.

    Kaizer Chiefs
    Maccabi Tel Aviv

April 25th because it couldn't look more North Korean if it tried.

Maccabi Tel Aviv - the nicest of the other three on offer.

Kaizer Chiefs loses marks for lacking originality

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,028 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

But they did inspire a good band

Kaizer Chiefs and Maccabi Tel Aviv advance

South Africa and Israel are victorious over North Korea and Luxembourg. There are only 6 groups left to decide and they'll be done tomorrow. Then we kick off the knockout stages where the fun begins all over. There's quite a distance to go in this yet folks and there's still some cracking badges left to reveal. Are you waiting on any in particular? Let us know!

Until then, take care and goodnight.

Le Havre for the fire breathing dinosaur / dragon with a crown.

Animals ftw again. Strange lizard thingy and another majestic eagle.

    Very pleasant on the eye

*Awaits ban from Baggly for not voting Fulham*

God Fulhams crest is awful. They could have put the FFC from the 11 o'clock down to the 5 o'clock position, or even straight vertically down 12 to 6 but instead they've gone with some weird slanted rotated job. Not a fan.

La Harve and DC United would be the best out of the remaining three. At least they have the decency to have their lettering aligned. And for having animals on the crest.

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,336 ✭✭✭✭Zaph

Le Have - I'm guessing it's a dragon and that's a flame coming from its mouth, but tbh it looks more like a dinosaur you'd find in a kid's cartoon. The French are weird.

Zamalek - I think they missed a trick by not having a mummy on the crest, but a hieroglyphic style archer isn't a bad alternative.

    The Dino wearing a crown.

    The bow and arrow.

We need to balance the ratio of animals to deadly weapons.

Fulham (its ok Fulham, i still love you) and Zemalek; thats a pretty class archer. An animal hunter imo.

Zamalek for the Egyptian with the bow and arrow

I concur with both of these and these are my votes too.

I used to work with a Fulham fan. Surely there can't be two of you in the country?

    DC and Zamalek please

Fulham's is grand, nothing more. And you can't just stick a dragon on a crazy and expect to progress, the drawing has to be good
