Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Boiler cutting out

Hoping someone can help. Just after getting my oil tank filled it had run empty ages ago but never bothered filling it as it wasn't being used. So I bled it and heating fired and everything seemed normal but after around 10 minutes the sound of boiler completely changes to more of a hum which cuts in and out every couple of seconds. The time it runs gets shorter and shorter until it eventually just stops.
Anyone have any idea before I call out someone to look at it?
    Thanks in advance

Do you have to press the reset button on the burner when it stops, ie trips?. If so it would point to filter blockage, I would remove the supply at the burner and see what kind of flow you are getting, then clean the tank outlet filter and check the flow again, then reconnect, bleed the pump and see how you get on.

Yes I have to reset it. Don't think there is a blockage as there was very good flow when I bled it. Checked a couple of times just to be sure. But íl take a look at the filter today just incase

You could try cleaning the photo cell, if this doesn't work probably time to get the experts in.
