Fr Noel. Irritating yes, but he achieved so much in that one episode.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 145 ✭✭Seven Septs

Even from this juncture it appears that Fr. Noel Furlong and Your Grace, Bishop Len Brennan are the bookies favorites. Hard to see anyone troubling them. Ted? Unctious? Dick Byrne... a dark horse?

If the draw puts Furlong v Brennan, given voter comments, it will be neck and neck.

    ...three episodes!

    Gigs '25 - Orbital, Supergrass

Just in case you weren’t aware he appears in 3 episodes - Hell, The mainland (which is kind of a repeat performance of Hell) and the Airplane one which I can’t remember the name of.

Fairly unanimous that one. Fr. Noel Furlong is our second Semi Finalist with a winning scoreline of 11-2

    Ultimate Grudge match happens now.

    Supremes VS Elvis

    Dick VS Ted

All for a place in the last 4

It’s Ted Vs one of the above in the final for sure.

It’s all down to how nasty or otherwise Necro will be with their play-offs to get there- We all have our favourite finalists but who will get the chop before then? :D

    Fr Dick Byrne

    Just because

Ted. Just a nod to the great work of the late Dermot Morgan.

Go count your sour grapes Dick!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,503 ✭✭✭✭Also Starring LeVar Burton

Ted - tough shout, but gonna stick with the main man on this one for Dermot Morgan's performance alone

    TED!

There wouldn't BE a Fr. Ted without Ted :D

I was thinking of Hell but mea culpa :)

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,303 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Yeah it's been an ecumenical matter since the first 5 mins of voting really. Ted slaps Dick Byrne out of the contest with a 14 - 1 mauling

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,303 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    Match 4

Well Len has been fairly flawless so far but so has his opponent. This one could be interesting...

    Fr. Todd Unctious

No mea culpa necessary at all- was only reminding you or letting you know in case you weren’t aware or forgot - figured you were referring to “Hell”

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,604 ✭✭✭lassykk

    Bishop Brennan 100%

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,943 ✭✭✭✭the purple tin

    Both great characters and actors.

Len noses ahead for his repeat appearances and his excellent put-downs.

Bishop Brennan - archetype of the bastard bishop who set back Ireland centuries, His Bastardness John Charles McQuaid coupled with Eamonn Casey philandering - all in one character- it doesn’t get better than that.

    This is a tough one.

    Decisions, decisions...

    Feck it. Todd.
