Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New Netgear router and VM

Hi, I purchased a D7000v2 router to take on wifi duties in the house as the VM superb 3 is basically crap and dropping signals all over the place.

I had a horrendous time setting it up, the Genie was assuming is was a phone connection rather than fibre. After a few hours of messing with it I managed get it working through a direct cable connection from a laptop. Couldn't get near the router page to make the WAN change which forced it to use a cable connection. So now I have a decent netgear signal and know I should turn the VM box into a dumb modem, but is there really a need? The reason Im asking is if the Netgear decides to cut up then I can quickly get the house back online to the VM network instead. Is there really an advantage to putting it in modem mode? Thanks
