I see Donegal had a strike recorded on the netweather radar.

Who knew Donegal would be first? :D

    And now it's in Wexford.

    Normality has resumed. :p

A nice French import getting into southern England now and plenty of proper storms over the rest of France and Spain.

A couple of sferics in Wexford now.

According to lightening maps there was a strike about 10km from me yet I didn't hear or see a thing.

Looks like the Snowdonia mountains are giving things the extra ooomph needed, more cells kicking off there now. Maybe the Wicklow mountains will do us a few favours later.

And perhaps the Mournes for Ulster

    They're high up.

Lightning will be more visible now as it's getting dark.

Thunder will be fairly faint unless its overhead.

The live maps are a bit janky, there are always false strikes shown when there's a lot of activity in the surrounding areas. They will generally be "cleaned up" in a couple of minutes.

It's because you're looking for lightening after sunset. It just doesn't work. :pac:

    Showers forming over southern Kilkenny.

Cows are running like crazy around the field out back - do they sense something?

The lightning I'm looking at is coming to shore off the irish sea near Gorey somewhere

Absolutely biblical storm over the Isle of Man. Never seen so many clusters in a map over the same spot!
