pouring rain here at Dunshaughlin, not a hint of thunder or lightning from it.

Things startng to develop a bit now between Wexford and Cardigan Bay. No sparks just yet.

Can see small potential cells emerging soon

Indeed. They do perhaps have a NNW push to them. Regardless if I was on the Wicklow, Dublin Coast I’d be thinking now this is the best shot of the night for lightning the next hour or so.

Plenty of lightning and loud thunder the last 20 minutes out by Cooley, seems to have died off now though.

I'm thinking an hour for cells to reach Dublin here.

Finally something tangible developing up wind.

Showers developing in South Galway and East Clare now too, could turn into something of interest for those in the north west.

Still flashing away in the distance to my northwest.
The thunder and lightning south of here over Westmeath has stopped though

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,867 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

It's kicking off for some, shame most are in bed :(

Am I right in thinking all of the action is happening too far north for Carlow/Kilkenny to have any chance at all tonight?

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,867 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

Ok, for the moment storms (cells still quite small but developing) are on track for Dublin now things have kicked off over Wexford moving in to Wicklow now :)

Now raining in West Clare but nothing showing on radar. Those showers really picking up juice to my east.

Didn't think there'd be anything whatsoever this far west.

I have the Canon camera all set up on 200-iso and fast burst ready here in Dublin. As soon as I hear the slightest crackling I'm out the door trying to capture a few bolts. I'll be waiting.

Individual people have different thoughts and understanding in regard to others opinions, but the problem is this... there are some people out there that will do everything in their power to cut you off when they do not like your opinion even when it is truth.
