Hello, I've recently started gardening and would like to get rid of snails/slugs that come onto the garden. I live near semi-detached houses where two neighbours gardens are enclosed off to the side of mine.

How can I get rid of them? I've seen that I can use copper. Where can I get this copper?

Copper might work for you but its one of those unproven bits of gardening law. iirc RHS tested this a few years back and didn't recommend it.

Ducks and chickens are the best things for getting rid of snails and slugs but after them the old slug pub if well tended is works well.

Edit> there's a lot more about it somewhere online but this is a summary https://www.rhs.org.uk/science/articles/Stop-slugs-and-snails

Mr Middleton sells organic pest control, nematodes etc. https://www.mrmiddleton.com/eco-friendly-products/

Slugs may also be controlled with beer traps .

This is probably the best and safest method of killing slugs and a lot of pubs where giving away their beer to allotments to be used a a fertilizer because of the lock down.
