As far as I remember, maternity leave is treated differently and the position will be held open for at least a period - I can't remember if it's held open for a max of 60 working days (which would align with the position hold while an appeal is ongoing), or if it's held indefinitely until you return from Mat Leave. You can check the exact provision with your administering team (probably Central Mobility Team in the NSSO - different teams if you're in AGS, IPS, or Oireachtas).

You still have to be responsive to offers though, so definitely make sure that your home email address is on the system, the auto-mails don't go in to spam, etc.

Applied for an advertised role in another Department on the mobility scheme. I have a call this week with the PO and AP to discuss the role. Has anyone any advice on the format of this meeting, is it formal, will they ask interview type questions? Any experiences/advice welcome. Thanks!

A lot is down to the individuals concerned. I had one fairly formal, interview style one and one very informal chatty style one. Be prepared for detail I suppose, and be ready to link your experiences to the listed requirements of the role. Do some research on the background of the Dept or AGency.
