Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Werner wasn't up to much but I guess he's just settling in

Apart from going down easy and acting injured when not

I’d say Klopp will be delighted, Chelsea put away nice and timely. Nothing for Frank to go crying to the cameras about.

A makeshift defender has their transfer target in his pocket all day.

Fabulous ball from Salah to Virgil, probably should've scored. Think he just didn't expect it to fall for him so perfectly.

Fabinho easily MOTM for me today. Hasn’t put a foot wrong at all.

Bit skeptical when the lineups came out, but he’s been fantastic.

I wonder if Frank found this an arrogant performance by the champions today?

He's one of those guys that's just genuinely brilliant at football. Has everything in his game. I'd say you could play him anywhere and he'd look above average.

One in the 1st half where he went down in stages and hobbled away after being touched on the shoulder, then there was one in the 2nd half after the shot across the box from Abraham the ball was cleared and he went down in a heap too

That’s a huge 3 points. The Klopp machine goes marching on.

Could be useful if Alisson gets injured.

2 games played, already 6 points clear of Man City. Unbelievable.

Way more measured than last week.if I was to criticise even a little it would be that we took the foot off for the last 30!

But really, that was very good.

Have to say well done Fab again those two personal battle wins against Werner were huge.

6 points ahead of city. Better not bottle it

Liverpool winning and Sam Bennett winning in Paris

    A great day.

Completely cruised against a top four team. You couldn't ask for much more tbh. They made them look like relegation fodder. Klopp absolutely nailed it today with tactics and team.

Good stuff. Would’ve been nice to get a third but on we go and put an end to the arsenal ‘title challenge’ next.

That John Denver's full of ****.

There won’t be many teams get 3 points down there this season

Solid performance. Dominant in first half, and clinical after the sending off. Mane key in attack, Fabinho key in defence. I'm not in favour of him as 4th choice CB for the season because he's so good in the middle, but must say he was excellent there today.

    • Clean sheet
    • Thiago on and runs the show
    • Alisson in form again
    • Mané on fire
    • Lampard found out again
    A superb afternoon's work.

    Easy.

Btw didn't mention it at the time but that penalty foul from Thiago happens to Salah 10 times a game.

That was like a training match out there. Did we even get out of second gear?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Much better performance this week. We actually played better against 11 men than 10 I thought. Thiago got a light run out. First clean sheet in what feels like a while too.
The downsides were a few niggley injuries and Firmino and Keita were fairly anonymous I thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,798 ✭✭✭✭DrumSteve

Thiago just looks absolutely class everytime he's on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭McFly85

Much better performance than last week. Job done without getting out of 3rd gear, really - reckon had they scored the peno Liverpool would have pushed and gotten a third.

Chelsea were fairly poor though. They won’t win anything with that disaster of a keeper(to be fair, he could be replaced any minute now)

100%. Could honestly be a shout to have him as CB partner with VVD.

Was very nervous before this game, especially after some very poor individual performances against Leeds.

Huge improvement today. Fabby was immense - kept his head early on in one on ones, and kept his concentration throughout the game.

Thiago looked like he was playing with this team for ages.

If there was any doubt whether Liverpool would be able to lift their performance to the levels of last season, they answered that question emphatically today.

Jamie Redknapp: "He's got into, what I call, 'a great position' there."

Wooh, slow down there Jamie, can't keep up with ya.
