Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool: Alisson, Williams, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Jones, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Lovren, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Shaqiri, Origi, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott.

That's unexpected but pleasingly so. Give Jones half or an hour if he copes then Keita on.

Milner out again with a muscle problem.

We have Matip,Milner,Keita,Lovren & Shaqirr all very injury prone.

    Need some signings this summer.

Benrahma at Brentford could be a good cheap option

That and City have about 200m on the bench to cope with injuries. What a bitter muppet.

ah I was quoting him out of context a bit. I think it's a view a lot of people would hold. Surely we're not this good, are we?
I can't believe we're so far ahead myself

Surprised not to see Minamino get a start, but I suppose Salah's after the golden boot and Mane didn't start against Brighton.

Happy enough with the team, hopefully Jones and Williams give good account of themselves

We've been told for a very long time by... let's call them the neutrals that the league table doesn't lie. Happy to take that at face value. :)

Brentford will probably sell the W (Ollie Watkins) of the BMW, doubt they'd part of two of the three.

Speaking of the Bees, Sergi Canos (remember him) is back on their bench after doing an ACL last October.

Just had a quick look and the only players to ever win 3 Golden Boots in a row are Shearer and Henry, good company if he manages it.

Id say he would do well to win the Golden Boot this year, Vardy and Ings are on fire and scoring a goal a game. He needs to pull out a hat trick to overhaul them.

My only prediction for today is that Curtis Jones attempts a shot from outside the box before he completes 5 passes :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,912 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I'll be honest I would rather see Elliott play than Jones right now.

But who will shoot first....jones or Williams?

    Mo hat trick incoming.

Jones secures a PL winners medal by right today I think. Elliott might well get a quick go late on.

That's a cracking banner, iconoclastic and respectful of the history of the club

    Robbo looking sharp today.

Burnley playing plenty back, could be tough to get past but we're the champions so they should do it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,545 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Do you prefer to watch with or without crowd noise?

I always go without myself, find it much better.

One of my favourite players. So ridiculously skillfull and smooth on the ball, but is more than happy to sacrifice himself offensively and put in a shift for the good of the team.

He's nearly impossible to get the ball off too, which is vital when we're recovering possession under pressure in our own half.

And all that pales in comparison to his smile, the handsome bastard.

Jones looking perfectly at home early on.

Did really well there, great run and cross to Salah. Just well defended. All round look threatening though, and Gini particularly looks up for it - fancy him to score today.

Hate the crowd noise, it actually really irritates me at this stage. Have trouble finding good non-crowd-noise rivers of late though..

Williams has the cross field fullback to fullback pass down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    Trentish switch from Williams there.

Yes, he looks mature and comfortable.

Team look up for it today, get one goal and could be a rout.

    Well that was Jones chance.

Seems a particularly smart fella too... have a feeling he'd make a good manager.

He should have buried that one. What a move!

    Should be out of sight.

I know it's 0-0 but this is the best I've seen us play Burnley in a long time, some beautiful passing to break down their defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,079 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Playing some great football here. Just need to actually put the ball in the net next.

Be annoying if Pope has one of those games for 95 minutes.
