Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scrapping in a bar at the age of 27 is embarrassing maybe justified if his sister was harmed but there's nothing normal about grown men getting drunk and getting into scraps.

I say this as a 27 year old who's gone on plenty 2 piss ups in Greece at a much younger age and not gotten into any fights.

What a sad comment. If you walk into a bar, how many people recognize you as the dope from boards who makes stupid comments? Nobody of course, you can go about your evening no bother.

Absolute different story for a captain of Man Utd. How many bar fights did Keano get into? Do you think you’re better than him too? 😂

Only four teams yet to buy someone yet.

Leicester (Heavily linked with Taglifico from Ajax though)
    Wolves
Newcastle (Business will be dependent on who buys them)

Well if we have given up on Sancho then can we just move on to the other targets
Next season he could be 120/130 million, we'll sign him then, that's the way it seems to work with Utd

Are Ole and Ed just looking at players that were linked with Utd years ago, Douglas Costa, SAF was apparently interested in him when he was with Shakhtar

Newcastle signed Jeff Hendrick, it was a free but still decent signing for them for squad depth

Missing out on a CB that Arsenal were interested in... could be a blessing.

Y’all need to learn the difference between “can” and “will” :pac:

Isn’t it depressing the press, who will happily make up utter nonsense stories, aren’t even bothering to link us to Ronaldo or Messi. Like, it would be such an absurd thought that they don’t even think they can generate clicks with apsuch a story.

There’s an alternate universe where we are swinging our big old money dick around and getting in Messi to fill our RW hole...

Whats going to happen will be something similar that happened with Maguire

Offered Leicester £60/65m came back a year later and got him for £80m

    Ed Del Boy strikes again

The chap played more minutes of professional football this past season than anyone else in the world. A blow-out was inevitable and deserved, I just didn't think that we had Frank The Tank as our club captain :pac:

Christ, how do you actually spend that much in a bar? Does your average bar even have drinks options expensive enough to get to that sort of total? or were they in some ultra-fancy elite spot?

<edit> nevermind, read the thing, 35,000 on just two bottles of champagne alone. Things I don't understand.

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,685 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

Wow thats some mark up on those drinks of its only 2 bottles. Just be several. One of these places that probably caters to super rich and slaps a llfew extra 00s on the price of certain bottles.

If you're spending that much on whiskey, and its
Jack Daniels, you need to be taken aside and a have quiet word spoken to you

So sad when you know that he couldn't taste the difference between a £1,000 bottle & an £18,000 bottle. The £17,000 difference could of made the world of difference to some charities. It was pure arrogance.

There are plenty of places that cater for rich people and there is no arrogance about it whatsoever. He earnes his money and can spend it whatever way he wants

No point, they would be mixing it with coke anyway. I think Ricky Hatton ran up a huge bill there last year

Actually there is no way that champagne cost £18k with a markup. Tis only £200 a bottle.

I know that he spent £18,000 on a bottle of champagne that you can buy for £200 - according to google & his own lawyer. Of course the quotes & numbers could be wrong.

Good news about Pogba, so much rubbish written and said about him, United need him so people should be happy.

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,685 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

I'd still rather Pogba was sold, or rather never brought back in the first place. It was the wrong signing at a bad time. But he's there now.

He needs to be more consistent though and learn once and for all when to keep it simple. He was absolutely dire in a few of the games toward the end of the season (not alone) and he was basically 2 types of player against Sevilla. He may as well have been in the stand for half it.

Can't afford to carry someone who when they're just not evidently in the mood to put in a bit of work, they won't. Don't care how talented he is. You can maybe get away with it for a striker. But not a pivotal midfielder

I don't believe whatsoever Ferguson would have ever brought him back and he was correct to question the attitude

Not a fan of his but good news to be fair. He's not the main man in the side and with an improving midfield he may get more disciplined in his role. Not a much expected of him and we may see more from him as a result

    Like a new signing!!!!!!!

Any briefings on plans to bring in a DOF or a transfer specialist technical director type yet or will that be next week do you think?

You'd swear we had a solid squad and had no issues to address at all with the activity we are doing.

Its just darkly hilarious. Like it was kinda expected at this stage we would make a mess of another window but you always hope well MAYBE THIS is the window when we start being competent........alas nope.

Hope Bayern kick two lumps of sh*te out of PSG. Terrible if a sportswashing club wins the top club cup.

Be interesting to see how Thiago gets on in the PL if he signs for the Pool, a class act

I’ll be devastated to see Thiago sign for Liverpool. He’s a class act. If he was English we’d be all over him.

Very strange that he starts in a final and they won't give him the money / contract.
