Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Want to make a simple wall at the back of an outdoor shed, all it needs to do it keep out wind and most of the rain, and support a sheet or perspex - super basic nothing fancy, and ideally cheap ish. The wall joins to an existing wall at one side.

I have two bags of pre mixed concrete and two bags of pre mixed mortar. I had planned to just buy blocks and give it a shot but after some youtube'ing it seems to get more complicated the more I look.
    • Do I need blocks or brick ? (cost is my concern), I have a level and a trowel and lump hammer with chisel. Wall needs to be about 2m high by 1.5m wide. I have a rubble 'foundation' ready for where the concrete will pour in initially.
    • My concern is the wall build will go fine but it won't be strong when I push on the face of the wall, I don't get how normal walls work I guess :)
    • How do you break a block at the corner/edge nicely to get that staggered thing so all the block joints are not onto of each other?
