Insurance is not likely to cover it. Video of a guy who owned a car dealership, which was destroyed, saying his insurance wouldn't cover the damages. Hundreds of thousands of dollars, and that's hardly unique.

Your claims are entirely nebulous. This whole thread shown that what you claim to be police brutality is often driven by the belligerent nature of folks being detained by police. Making sweeping statements means nothing, each incident is unique to itself.

They are only unique until they become a trend - see the research on NYC policing during the 'stop and frisk' era.

As you mention belligerent guys who unsurprisingly didn't end up with 7 bullets in the back nor choked to death.

It's simple minded to just cherry pick incidents and pretend like it proves an overall point, it doesn't. Why do the FBI statistics say?

    Anyone can do it, look.

Disgusting fairly easy to see why Americans are turning against the Dems and going to vote for Trump when assaults like this are a daily occurrence.

BLM and Antifa are pure gold for Trump.

Theres his address. Any 2nd amendment loving yanks in the house?

What an unbelievably crass post. You're really showing yourself up as a keyboard warrior.

    Calm yourself.

You're defending motorists ignoring traffic, driving through pedestrians, firing weapons out the back. These aren't part of the privilege to drive. This isn't 'sure beep so they move to the footpath' stuff.

Nope, driving is a privilege. Nobody 'needs' to drive an automobile, the government is not going to protect your ability to operate a vehicle because it's 'needed.' If you can't follow the terms of the license you will receive sanctions up to and including revocation of your license. Living out in the bog certainly isn't going to convince a high court that your DUI should be thrown out.

You are embarrassing yourself with your postings now.

When you grow up you'll look back in shame at your support for Antifa and BLM scum.

You realise you may have just broken the law on top of calling for someone to commit violence against the person you are doxxing in your post?

You are right. Should be about 50 cops on the way over there right about now.

Where does the post call for someone to commit violence? What laws were broken here in Ireland?

So just to be clear, as unhappy as you claim to be about people calling for violence and breaking the law, when a likeminded poster of yours on boards.ie doxxes a person (a crime in itself depending on where you are) and asks anyone nearby who might be inclined to go to their house and shoot them, it's a laughing matter to you?

What do you think "Any 2nd amendment loving yanks in the house?" means? Go to the persons house this poster just doxxed and read the constitution to them?

    Get off of it.

I'm saying the guy in the clip broke the law and pretty much should be done for attempted murder (or murder if the guy died). Therefore, there should be a pile of cops heading over to arrest 'yer man wot clonked yer udder man' on the head with a brick.

Where'd I laugh by the way?

Don't know what the fcuk I was writing when I wrote you are right. Obviously didn't finish the sentence.

Anyhooo, hopefully yer man who hit the lad with the brick is behind bars right now for attempted murder. As it clearly wasn't self-defence.

Fair, and to be honest I misread your other post as sarcastically saying 50 cops should knock down to that psoters house. Definitely agree though the doxxed guy should be charged, there's no defending what he did either.

The first U.S. constable was 1634.

Slave patrols were set up in the 1700's and went on until slavery was ended.

    'lol'

Sick. Good luck seeing that on CNN, RTE, BBC etc...

Trump needs to step up and take control of this mess.

They mentioned it briefly at 6 o clock... at end of a piece about us riots ...they said a right wing person was killed... no mention of who why or anything ... saying hi was right wing almost sounded like justification for him getting ****... then just skipped to Next article .. absolute disgraceful journalism

Actually, they are somewhat correct - while there were police-like forces, it wasn't until the 1800s and in many places, after the Civil War that outright police departments became more commonplace (the first full time, publically funded department was Boston in 1838). Police forces from the south came almost entirely directly from the forces that used to exist to hunt down escaped slaves and return them to their owners, while in the Union states they came from forces that typically were used to bear and murder workers trying to unionize back into line (e.g. the poor) - this is actually where the Pinkertons apparently made the bulk of their money, not hunting down Arthur Morgan and Co.

Those from the north kind of amalgamated a bunch of different forces designed to keep the poor in line together to become police departments but are ultimately borne of being anti union and pro wealth. If you're ever in a formerly Confederate city that existed prior to Emancipation, their police force likely directly descended from the agencies hired to catch escaped slaves and violently squash any uprisings. Ironically, after slavery the treatment of black people by these forces often got worse - because they didn't have to answer to a slave owner as to why their 'livestock' died in their custody.

Even when you move forward a few decades, the police almost exclusively existed to protect the interests of the rich, with the US having crazy laws about 'loitering' which essentially said to be outdoors you had to be in work, on the way to/from work, or on the way directly to/from something like the market, train station, etc. In some instances, to call upon the police you needed to use a special phone booth - which was locked, with keys being provided exclusively to wealthy and connected people. Their job very often was to just ensure the poor didn't even come within a peripheral distance of where rich people lived or congregated, unless of course that was the factories and such that they owned.

A lot of this ties into why American policing is long, long overdue a reset of sorts, similar to the Blacks and Tans being replaced by An Garda Siochana a century ago, or even less than two decades back, the RUC becoming the PSNI. The rot isn't something that's been building, so much as it's something that's been baked in from the beginning.
