Charles R. Holliday-Smith, 30, has been arrested and charged w/first-degree assault & felony by police for hit & run on Saturday, Vancouver, Wash. Shane Moon was at a memorial event for Aaron “Jay” Danielson when Holliday-Smith, a known BLM activist, entered the bar and heckled the group which led to a back and forth outside the bar. Holliday-Smith then got in his truck and rammed Moon, hitting him with his truck. Again the pattern of rage triggered by uncontrollable emotion rears its head. Dangerous and irrational type of people.

If it was Portland, he'd be out throwing fiery but mostly peaceful incendiary devices.

Because there seems to be no end to the amount of people who will make excuses for this horrible rhetoric or pander to these "adults" either to make themselves be seen more favourably or because they believe white people deserve it. I've seen some examples myself online.

I do think though that these people are safely ignored by the majority of ordinary people.

Because perceived victims (based on racial or gender lines) have been elevated beyond personal responsibility for their own behavior. You see the same with feminists who often make horrible statements about the male gender. Looks like Rochester will have a lot of extra money for social worker now as then entire command staff has left their roles, the police chief and all the deputy chiefs retired or moved back to a non command role. Apparently others did too but they aren't named or a count is given anywhere.

The mayor got the news during a zoom meeting, announced the fact to those on it, and then adjourned the meeting.

I see from that report it isn't as immediate as preliminary reporting made it sound:

"His retirement will be effective Sept. 29, according to Rochester City Council President Loretta Scott. Scott told ABC News as of now there is no blueprint for how the city moves forward following the retirements of the command staff."

Earlier reports I saw had focused on the abrupt manner the resignation was announced and the close of a zoom meeting, which made it seem like it was effective immediately and without notice. So, no there doesn't seem to be any degradation in force function.

A hierarchical structure like a police force will always have some form of chain of succession. A sudden retirement by the senior staff would be reacted to the same way as if they were all killed in a helicopter accident going to some meeting.

I'm amused by the screenshot of the zoom meeting in that ABC link. They place their preferred gender pronouns after their names.
In the rare event that preferred gender is not apparent, wouldn't you... well.. know that if you're all members of the city council and actually care about your co-councillors?

There's a former nba player called dwayne wade and his cousin got shot dead a few years ago. She was an innocent mother of 4 kids and she got shot in some gang crossfire . All dwayne did was post a few tweets saying this has to stop. Now recently with all the BLM stuff going on , he's been non stop making ads , wearing t-shirts ,posting tweets and giving interviews about police brutality and yet when his cousin got killed by another black person there was barely a peep out of him . And that in my opinion is what's wrong in the black community. They'll march and protest like mad when the cops kill a handful of unarmed blacks men but when it comes to black on black crime they'll stick their heads in the sand

As you say, if it were the other way around, they'd be all over it.

Do the media realise they are driving division and making things worse by flaming white people? Generally the news consumer is aware of it. Even those who choose to discount it, they're still aware of it even if they don't state it.
