FFS I responded to a post referring to the 'usual suspects'The lines have been drawn. I'm glad to say that I am arguing from a position I think is correct, wtf else would I doing?

I think the point was that thinking everyone you diasgree with all speak with the same voice. As in "You guys"

Its evident from this thread - that there's a whole range of opinion as would be normal in any discussion.

Interestingly enough the idea that someone thinks they are not only right, but that everyone else are wrong is known 'belief superiority'

Have you any media links on that story? There's seems to be a lot of backlash toward the organisers on social media about it.

I don't, but you can try researching it a bit yourself and see if you can dig up something.

    What's up, BLM people?

Let me state my position, all sex crimes are wrong, all people accused of such crimes should be charged and prosecuted, and should be prohibited from any role (employed or voluntary) where they could be in a position to coerce others.

More Police involvement in such crimes

    New York 1
A former New York City police officer was convicted Wednesday of sexually abusing two women after offering to help line up after-school activities for their children, part of a series of cases accusing him of using his badge as a tool to victimize women.

    New York 2
Two NYPD detectives accused of raping teen in their custody won't get jail time

    New York 3
A suburban New York police officer is behind bars after being charged with repeatedly sexually abusing a woman while supposedly investigating a theft.

Or what about this story, does this look like action of an official body which doesn't need change?
NYPD’S CULTURE OF IMPUNITY SEES AN OFFICER REPEATEDLY ACCUSED OF PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE RISING THROUGH THE RANKS

Or another case where a cop carrying out such crimes doesn't see the necessary action.
No consequences after Florida officers admit to sexually abusing inmates

    Florida
Ex-South Florida cop sentenced following child pornography bust

    Florida again
Former Police Officer Convicted of Sharing Child Porn

    Alabama this time
A former police officer in Alabama has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to rape and attempted child sex abuse

    Alabama again
Williston, a former Birmingham police lieutenant, was convicted in February of first-degree rape for sexually assaulting his stepdaughter for years, beginning when the girl was 14

    Illinois here
Retired sheriff’s sergeant charged with sexual abuse, child porn involving girls 14 and 15 years old

    Illinois again
Two Chicago police officers were accused of child abuse. A decade later, they’ve been fired.

    Michigan again
Cop fired amid child sexual assault charges sentenced 7 to 50 years in prison

    Texas now
Texas police chief arrested, accused in the sexual abuse of a child

    Texas again
Former Texas cop convicted of rape gets 10 years’ probation

    California now
2 L.A. cops charged with repeatedly raping, ‘preying on’ vulnerable women

California again and a more sinister picture emerges
The abuse of children and women at the hands of LAPD officers is persistent over time.

    Seattle
'I used to think I could trust you': Ex-Seattle cop gets 23+ years for serial child rape

Key comment in this case from Michigan
A law enforcement official is arrested about once every five days in the U.S. for sex-related charges.

And another statistic which doesn't reflect well on police officers
Police officers in the US were charged with more than 400 rapes over a 9-year period
Bear in mind the statistics associated with getting charges issued versus events which occur in relation to sex crimes.

What's up people who think the police systems don't need change?

No, as I pointed out previously, there are people from all walks of life accused/convicted of such crimes.

You ok with a system where a member of the police is arrested every 5 days for such crimes?
Or that they committed 400 rapes in 9 years?

Seems an odd position to want to ignore this.

More of that then or are you're saying two wrongs make a right? ...

I believe the point is - it's not a peeing competition. Rather that at least some of those protesting will likley benefit from in the police forces being defunded / disbanded. Who really suffers? The victims. Remember even those police charged with such offences - have to dealth with by the forces of law and order.

where did you get that one police officer arrested every five days stat ? I cant see it in your link dump. lot of it is paywalled

seems odd to ignore the people so fervently involving themselves in blm too

at least the cops are sacked when their workmates catch them rather than pushing them forward as leaders

Comply with police requests and you are very very unlikely to get shot. Resist arrest and act the b0llix and you have a much higher likelihood of coming out of it badly. And BLM is teaching resistance = more black deaths.

    What’s your point?

Do you think that being involved in, and perpetrating sex crimes is part of the ‘police system’?
Or that police should be arresting each other more than every 5 days??

I would have thought that the fact that police officers are being arrested by their peers is a sign of a system that is working, and not covering up criminal activity of officers.

Maybe they need to work on their selection process, but then again unfortunately we come across sex offenders in all walks of life. Great to see them being caught and prosecuted in these instances.

My point is that whatever point Biko was trying to make about the BLM, the same situation exists within police forces.
Except one organisation is specifically there to keep people safe and is funded by public money.

You have any other questions in relation to this, ask Biko what point were they trying to make.

The attorney general of Kentucky is expected to soon deliver an update on the case of Breonna Taylor. Attorney General Daniel Cameron will make an announcement in about 30 minutes.

Be very interesting to see what happens. Be massive scale protesting if they're not charged.

all the evidence would seem to clear them but given the prevailing racial atmosphere in the area who knows

And here is the Monday morning news for all you citizens of Chicagoland

Monday Sept 21 45 SHOT 9 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Sept 14 55 SHOT 12 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Sept 7 56 SHOT 8 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Aug 31 55 SHOT 10 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Aug 24 66 SHOT 5 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Aug 17 57 SHOT 7 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

Monday Aug 10 40 SHOT 4 KILLED in CHICAGO this past weekend

yep BLM is definitely focused on the real problem.
Soon as the Police are defunded all this deaths will obviously disappear, as we all know it was a cop made me shoot my neighbour, and it was a cop made me shoot a bunch of teenagers playing pickup hoops, and it was acop made me shot the 12 year old sitting in the back of her moms car goign to the store, and it was a cop made me shoot the 17 year old running down the street with his scolarship letter .....

It's the 'Accuse others of that which you are guilty' MO Overheal.

Time and time again that phrase comes to mind. We had a poster here demand explanation why I didn't comment on a specific video a few days ago.

I posted a video 12 hours ago about a cop who was fired for not shooting a suicidal man, zero responses from anyone in relation to that. Par for the course.

It's hard to believe that is a city in the US.
