He supported Occupy, big deal so did most people.
He was there for his job to protect a news crew.
They were attacked.

This week a militia were arrested for plotting to kidnap a governors because the president said to "liberate Michigan". He also is saying he won't accept the election result. Much bigger problem. Antifa are hyped up into a much bigger issue than it is to deflect from Trumps failures.

We’ve seen arguments time and again that if you’re attacked you have a right to defend yourself. That if a cop is threatened deadly force is on the table. So what’s different here?

I find it fascinating it’s been characterized as an assassination and that hasn’t been challenged by anyone of the pro cop at all costs brigade. If this was an assassination what do the police do? I guess I should really start calling it the Assassination of Tamir Rice.

I've been in conversations where people simply questioning the media narrative is taken as irrefutable proof they're for or against something FFS. Agree with something someone says and people think you agree with everything they say

Me: not really sure how that's relevant to a discussion about X tbh

On this thread I was told we needed to correct certain headline stats but to correct others (that didn't back up the "racist police force narratve") was manipulative

I completely agree but look what identity I myself have been labeled with by dozens of people in this thread. Turnabout is fair play. If it can be magically assumed I openly support rioting and murder because I discuss police brutality, the reversal is true. Other than that I’d love for people to talk the substance without bringing ego into it, people keep getting carded and banned for making the discussion personal and muddy.

From the flyer, which looks specious to begin with, it's a soup drive. Some people on thread seem to conflate that with soup kitchens. A soup/canned food drive can be as simple as eg. a teacher asking students to bring unused canned food to class to be donated.

Interestingly in some parts of the US actually feeding the poor/homeless eg. via just handing out free meals, has been outlawed by ordinance.
