I did Alaba then read his reviews which were glowing so now with his upgrade he should be amazing for a CB.

Haven’t used De Jong yet but will give him a whirl later and see how he goes.

I did use Martial storyline for the first time last night and he was impressive

yeah martial is lethal, i have to shift him to the left tho neymar and kdb have to be in the center.

Have to say that 96 Thiago is excellent - he’s been totally running the midfield for me tonight with Kimmich and Witsel doing the defensive work.

Upgraded RTTF Coman is also delivering the goods and I still don’t know who Arp is in real life and him getting such a special card is one of the weirdest things EA have done but boy can he finish

Very strange and lazy choice of dynamic image on the Thiago card.
It’s not even from the final.

The de jong one looks class with him and the trophy, they should’ve done same for Thiago and also updated rttf goretzka, Diego Carlos, coman and showdown alaba to dynamics of them with the ucl and Europa trophy

I know it doesn’t effect anything in game but the big trophy winners should get the trophy on the live cards.

Yeah, bit strange as I remember all RTTF Liverpool cards got it and their price nearly doubled.

A couple of months ago I said I'd finish up with FIFA for this year, put pretty much everything into SBC's and spend a hefty amount of coins on packs after building a great Bundesliga team over the course of a few months.

A couple of weeks ago I got the itch again and of course decided I'd like to get back to having a few games ahead of 21 and regretted having done what I did above, so pretty much starting from nothing apart from Carlos and Neymar I'm now running the below:



The rewards I've got from objectives and SBC's pretty much forced me down a Ligue 1 hybrid-ish team.

I'm not a fan of Herrera as a CDM at all so I switch to Headlines Delaney in-game who is far superior in that position IMO.

I like Aouar and he scores quite a few for me especially from distance but I think both he and Herrera are probably much better as pure CM's, so to get around this I might move Dybala to CAM in-game and play Neymar up front as he's so much more effective closer to goal.

I'd love to get TOTSSF Atal on that right flank for Cornet who is not good enough at all but trying to build back up another 100,000+ coins at this stage might be out of my reach.

Anyway, moral of the story is don't blow up your team as you'll more than likely want to come back and play again shortly afterwards! :pac:

I don't know what squad to go for. Really wish chemistry wasn't a thing, I could play the players I want wherever I want to.

Put a duplicate Moreno TOTSSF into the two 90+ upgrade and got Moreno TOTSFF (for the 4th time now) and my other player was duplicate 90 Saul Headliners!!!

oof, TOTS Henderson (Liverpool) and 90 Saul. Not too bad.. got TOTS Parejo from the untradeable prime gold players pack SBC too so he was thrown into that upgrade.

Had Osimhen red but didn’t get along with him at all. His FFS card is much better.

Tots Suarez from the 90+ upgrade, can’t argue with that.

Also, that 82-88 sbc is so worth it, costs about 5k and the cheapest 82 is 5k, 84’s are going for about 13/14k so if you even hit an 83 or 84 you’re saving on these sbc’s that require 83 squads

Got choice of Mane, Telles and some midfielder and all would have slotted In. Mane needed some juggling around but had to pick him of course.

Choice of Van De Beek, Immobile and Lautaro Martinez. Martinez seems class, went with him. Have lots of Serie A forwards now so I might build a squad with them.

Oh well he can go in my Barca past and present team, that’s honestly the only thing still keeping me active is building my past and present teams, I know anything I get isn’t going to improve my main team and I don’t even play weekend league anymore but at least when I get a pep, klose, nedved I can try them out in my Barca, Bayern, juve teams etc.

Ended up with a choice of TOTS Son, TOTS Vardy and FUT Birthday Hazard from the 90+ player pick SBC.

None of the 3 really fit my team but I was delighted with the options and know Son is very highly rated so took him.

I did need a RM and although Son is obviously listed as a LM with the 5 star weak foot he should be fine on either flank. I'll just sub him on straight away to avoid any chemistry issues.

Thrilled with that and really looking forward to trying him. Has anyone here used him and what did you think?

Have enough points for Weekend League so I might redeem and give it another go. I won't get near the 30 games but if I could hit Silver 1 I'd be happy enough.

Son is wasted on the flanks.
Play him at ST.
I used him for a bit and he was bloody awesome. While I prefer Aguero's one due to his build etc Son was outscoring him and Aguero became the creator while Son just buried the goals in. The two of them linked extremely well together.
Aguero was a goal a game for me.
Son was 2 goals a game for me in WL mode. That's how prolific he was.

Going to blitz through some final weekend league games, but gonna run at constant pressure, high line, and quit games liberally.

I've lost a lot of interest in the SBCs too now.

Looking forward to getting into a new team, cause I feel the lack of ability to change or upgrade is boring a bit. Looking forward to everyone's power levels downgrading significantly.

3-2 after the first 5 Weekend League games.

Most opponents fine so far. Had a great game with one guy, back and forth and won 6-5 with the last kick of ET. I would go 1-0 up, he'd peg it back to 1-1, I'd go 2-1 up, he'd peg it back to 2-2 and so on. I skipped my celebrations which I always do but this guy was hell bent on celebrating after every single one of his goals. Needless to say I celebrated like a madman after the winner! :pac:

Played another guy who was 2-0 up after about 70 minutes and I came back to win 3-2. Also played a fellow Irish guy who was very good and beat me 2-1 (although it should have been 9 or 10!) with my goal being a consolation right at the end. He had Petit playing CDM and it was like he was on steroids, he was literally everywhere and must have had about 30 interceptions alone.

Thanks for the shout on playing Son as an ST, Blazer.

5 goals and 6 assists in 5 games so far and one of those games I only brought him on midway through the second half. I've started substituting him in at kick-off now! :pac:

4-1 on weekend league so far after a month off. Logged in and claimed all the loan players over the month so I've been enjoying the first few games with a ridiculous squad. The game I lost, he was just a miles better player than me. All the other games were nuts. 6-5, 6-4, 3-1 and last one was 4-1 win where I should really have lost. Weathered a savage storm of pressure and caught them on the break and then my loan Cruyff popped in two wonder goals and they quit. As would I have lol.

Best part of FUT is the start when everyone’s got a **** team and everyone has different players. Love working my way up but once I’m at the top, my interest fades quickly.

First weekend league since TOTS and I remember what makes it so so bad. Gameflow.

Played a load of games so far because it’s the first time in ages I’ve had the time and know I won’t be able to on Sunday. 8-6 and the amount of **** goals I’ve scored and conceded because the game decides to **** over one of the players.

Haha, true that. All I’m doing is the odd SBC that I like and building a team that I’ll probably never use, but like the look of.

Serie A is pretty much complete. Now doing a Bayern/Prem.. would love that Sane but seems like too much time for me.
