'This is not going to end well.' Is that a threat from Trump or a promise?

    Quick synopsis:

Biden came off very weak and old at start, as Trump came out as brash and strong as expected.

But as debate wore on Biden grew and grew as Trump couldn't land blows. And I think that might all Biden needs to do. He wasn't blown away, he didn't do any major gaff, he was ok to good.

Trump told the Proud Boy militia to Stand back and Stand by!! That's the headline I can see going viral after this. He couldn't condemn right wing organisations, he asked them to STAND BY?????

Also he's statement he'd paid millions in personal income tax for 2016 and 2017, to a very clear question - it sounds unbelievable, especially following on from him saying he'd been very smart with the tax laws. I can't see people believing him, unless he releases his returns as promised.

Trump openly threatening that he may not accept the result. Chilling.

    ‘Bad things happen in Philadelphia’

That’s how to win over supporters in a key swing state.

Trump: "The election result could take months."

Getting his pre-emptive strike in, playing the victim and crying fraud. What a craven coward.

    The moderator said that.

    I'm gonna call it now

Trump started strong but Biden wore him down with clear concise answers, got a couple of good digs in too.

Trump came across as an angry child who's mother has told him he can't have a happy meal.

No, Wallace said days or weeks, then Trump muttered ‘it could take months’.

    Seriously, are you even watching?

Rarely do I agree with cnn....it was a **** show.

Neither of the two of em instilled confidence.

Biden was dull and just does not look well.

    Trump just talked...and talked.

I like how Biden didn't get phased by Trumps attacks like Hillary did and landed some zingers himself

It was ****ing awful, so much worse than those last 4 years,

Trump had some moments, started well had some ok one liners but lost the run of himself towards the end. Biden is clearly not the man he was 4 years ago and was plenty he said that made me roll his eyes , but was far less obnoxious and that is all that is needed from him.

Leaving my disgust for Trump aside and trying to look at this sorry moment in history without bias...

Biden won it comfortably. Not by landing any major blows but by not unravelling to the extent Trump did. Trump was waffling throughout most of the talking points like the pandemic and global warming, but the real shocking moment was Trump refusing to condemn white supremacism - 'stand back and stand by'. If that wasn't bad enough, he then refused to say he'd accept a negative outcome.

Trump revealed his true colours. If you support someone like the above, you know full well what all that entails. You know what that represents. The question now is whether the American people see more of themselves in Trump or Biden. The scary thing is I don't know the answer to that. If the answer is they see more of themselves in the former, then America and the world is in a dire state.

Biden came across really well imo, especially the longer it went on, a lot better than I’d feared.

He fulfilled the expectation that his campaign has been running on for months - that he’s a decent, steady guy who will be stable and solid for the country.

Biden has actually handled himself really well. It’s the old adage of not bringing himself down to Trump’s level.

Biden keeping to the high ground. Not going low. Trump wallowing.
