That right there should be a focal of Biden commentary on this.

We wish the President the best of luck in recovering. And we extend these wishes to the 46,000 other people who received the same news. Many with likely with health insurance concerns and family members who worry what will happen to them and whether they too might have it or if they have to self-quarantine now and so will not be able to work and what will the implications of this be..........

And the number of people suffering daily should be much fewer if the right steps had been taken at the right time.

Yeah, it was a scouts honour type thing, so each party were trusted to be clear and clean unless they were upfront about it.

WH says it tests officials each day, I still struggle to fathom how the WH knew Hope Hicks was positive early Thursday AM, and Thursday lunchtime Trump was ff to NJ to greet 100+ people despite being a close contact.

The Admin have nobody to blame here but themselves.

Yeah Covid is now front and centre now for the rest of the campaign. This could actually stem back to the event for the proposed Justice Amy Coney Barrett at the WH last Saturday 26/09 - Numerous people are infected from it.

1) Hope Hicks became symptomatic en-route a campaign event on Wednesday after travelling on Marine One with POTUS and “quarantined” on Air Force One, she then returned back to D.C. and back to the White House where a test confirmed early Thursday AM she was positive.

2) Trump then leaves to New Jersey on Thursday afternoon with a smaller than usual team and Kayleigh McEnany does a conference that afternoon with no mask as usual etc.

3) Bloomberg then breaks at 8pm EST last night that Hicks is positive for COVID-19; Trump phones Hannity live an hour later and says him and FLOTUS are awaiting test results.

It’s obvious he knew about Hicks before he left for NJ. This can be summarised by the fact that a COVID denier became infected and infected many others owing to his own choices putting numerous people at risk.

We may be truly frightened with how many high-level officials actually become infected as the virus develops in them over the next few days.

What a legacy.

So far it seems he's been lucky, hopefully when he's tested in another few days that he hasn't been unlucky enough to get infected by trump.

Yep, fingers crossed cause Biden is another guy in a very high risk category. Questions must be asked, no, people must be held accountable for how this particular outbreak/cluster was allowed to spread. It's a national disgrace actually.

I hope independent voters see this for what it is. The other camps aren't really going to move in terms of voting.

Well Dr fauci and others have said the test to look for is 3-5 days post potential exposure so pence and Biden while testing negative now aren’t out of the woods yet. Did anyone see the picture of the press secretary from outside the White House earlier ? She and everyone else was wearing a mask and she looked concerned honestly. But she will have to answer the question why she decided to hold a press briefing when it’s reported it was known that hope hicks was positive for Covid and she was a close contact.

And it seems that three White House reporters have tested positive for covid-19 according to the chair of the WHCA in a letter to the White House. This whole debate in Cleveland is looking more and more like a bad decision.

Concern now for the following;

Mike Lee is sat directly behind VP Pence and take note of other individuals in close proximity,

In addition, the following incidents of positives have occurred;

Multiple staffers at the White House and within Secret Service are positive.
3 White House reporters are positive.
11 individuals at the Cleveland debate are positive.

Would imagine both Biden and Jill will be tested more regularly now over the coming days along with clearly the VP, Speaker of the House.

Worth noting two members of the Justice Committee (Lee and Tillis) are now positive, if one more tests positive from that committee who attended the Coney Barrett event - The nomination of new Justice is stalled.

I think people who rant about the wrath of god are far more likely to be on the far right. What we’re seeing is not an act of god. It’s the inevitable consequence of continuous reckless behaviour. The more they chose to ignore safety protocols, the more certain this unfortunate outcome became.
