Have a load of mushrooms growing in my new lawn.
Picked them out last week but all growing back now as per the attachments.
Garden is south facing and gets lots of sun but its obviously been very wet the past couple of weeks.

Why are these growing here and how do I get rid?

We have had the same in recent weeks, should be ok once it dries out a bit.

I get them too. Normally a bit later in the year. They never cause any harm. Actually I get some in my gravel driveway. They managed to push through 6 inches of hardcore too.

So will they just die off when the weather improves?

I have a toddler that picks up anything laying about the grass

    Same.

Popped up all over....funny how they appear on lawns in different parts of the country at the same time.

we had pleated ink caps in the garden yesterday, first time i can recall seeing them. there and gone in less than a day and a half; pretty little things.

I got a turf fitted a few weeks ago and i recalled reading mushrooms might grow on it.. and sure enough, i was mowing it a few days ago and there were quite a few mushrooms. mowing over them is a quick way to get rid of them.

I think they look lovely in the garden. Fungi are amazing.

Apparently, they are a sign of a really healthy soil! According to Charles Downing at least!

I have some too. Nice edible ones, I wish I had more of them.

    They are early this year.

Just a word of warning some mushrooms are poisonous so be careful.
