Grooming day, hair shaved and tried my new shaving powder without the sensible supervision of the missus, needless to say, my face is red and burning and I would still have to use a razor before work.

I gave up on doing to do lists. I have random shorthand scribbled down though.

It would even leave the most expert codebreakers from WW II at a loss as to what they mean.

I did thanks Grem, woke up when the builders arrived at 8 and wanted more sleep, then remembered that conversation needed to happen and then the anxiety set in again and there was no more sleep for Kitty

Yes, its a really nice walk. And some good spots on either end to have a refreshment. The dart return journey between the two is nice too.

In bed, absolutely shattered tired and feeling very run down. Had quite a lot of things to do today work-wise, and working from home I really felt like copping off early - but persevered until 6pm.

I think I did far too much yesterday and that, combined with poor sleep the past few nights, has me feeling out of sorts.

Going to try to take a good nap now.

I'm currently stuffing the moaning apparatus with spaghetti tossed in a drop of olive oil that's been warned through with garlic with a load of grated cheese on top. Very easy, very tasty and very filling. I recommend for the 'hungry, but can't be arsed".

I was going to suggest baked beans on crusty toast with a sprinkling of grated cheese, but now I want Sardonicat's version of carb and cheese!

Out in the garage having a smoke, ironically .
    I am fuming.
I went to pick up junior ad his sister, both around the 7-8 years bracket. Their ‘mother’ was minding them for an hour or 2 while I seen my physio. Except picking them up I didn’t call ahead . On purpose.
I arrived at the house and rang the doorbell.
Niece who happened to be a the door and opened it.
I walked in and I swear I was back in a small pub ( minus the drink) in the 80’s . I could hardly see through the room with the smoke. I’m not exaggerating , because I remember smoking in pubs , this was worse.
No open windows , doors . Nothing .
Granny puffing away looking for hugs as we were leaving.
I took them home , and I get a phone call about being rude to her an her mother!!!!
The reason I didn’t call is because I suspected this sh1t was happening.
    Effing fuming .
I should probably keep it for pi but eff it

That's a tricky situation because they'll say it's their home so can smoke if they want.
And your children are too small for you to have them warned to go out of the room when they start it, if they were a few years older you could ask them to walk out to 'fresh air' when the puffing starts.
I don't envy that situation. Hugs.

Bedside, feeling more and more ill by the hour. :( Wasn’t able to get any snoozing at all earlier and I am achey all over. My OH checked my forehead and it seems I’ve got a temperature.

My OH is rallying round, getting me some supper and Lemsip with honey. Obviously the first thing on my mind was - could this be the dreaded Covid? But apart from the high temp I don’t have any of the other symptoms.

You might think about getting a test anyway, JK. You could be infected but lucky enough not to have other symptoms. Fingers crossed you're not, of course.

    Feel better soon!

Jupiter, if you have a temp for your own peace of mind get a test. Really hope you are feeling better soon and it's nothing to worry about.

From what I understand (and note I'm not anyway medical), the raised temperature is one of the most fundamental symptoms of Covid so definitely I'd phone in sick tomorrow to work and phone the GP straight after and tell them your symptoms. They can make a call if you should get a test.
