Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just back in the door from a very slow train journey from Galway. Tired and not in the mood for cooking dinner (no food on the train with the restrictions) - weather is bloody awful. Feels more like November than the last week of Summer.

Mini-rant: it has occurred to me, on train journeys across Ireland, how so very poorly planned our towns and villages are - lots of run-down buildings in or near the centre and soulless housing estates strung along the approach roads with lots of empty land and vacant houses at the core of towns that could be developed with a bit of imagination and targeted incentives. And that’s not counting the sheer number of abandoned old rural dwellings falling into ruin whilst one-off McMansions sit nearby.

Deskside watching the Phil Hogan interview

Best comedy RTE ever produced. Or a travesty. Or something. But I know it's best to laugh at it because the alternative wouldn't be good for me.

I did PM , that's why I'm watching this one too , see if there's anything different/other information on it . Did you watch it yet?
Vile sick creatures , both him and GM , and those who participated in destroying those young girls lives . They don't deserve to be called people.

Are you going to humour your favourite carer by getting yourself checked out? I can turn into Nurse Ratchet when required, just FYI.

I did watch the Netflix one. It was an eye opener for me because to be honest I hadn't realised the extent of how many victims and how many perpetrators there were. The media didn't really capture that but the documentary leaves you in no doubt.
I don't have the subscription you have to watch the other one.
I keep getting a recommendation to watch Dirty John, anyone know if that's good (and not a porno!)?

    It's vile isn't it ?

Dirty John , watch the first one if it's still on Netflix , crazy , or Abducted In Plain Sight . That one will make your mind boggle imo .

Ooohhh.. I'm intrigued now, I'll watch them.
I'm watching The Crown, season 3 so I'll wait until I finish that.
I only downloaded Netflix in lockdown so I'm a newbie.
I have Nathan Carter on here in the background. Ordinarily I hate country music but I think he's exceptionally talented. He has such a broad range of music and can play so many instruments. He doesn't get half the recognition internationally that he deserves.
