Hi, i'm looking to get a record player for my parents. I got a cheap nedis one, but the sound is dreadful (should have gone to you guys first I know!).

My parents are looking to play all their old vinyl. Ideally i'd prefer if the player had speaker all in one, but if this compromises the sound quality, then they've a sony stereo system that they could connect it to (via an aux input).

Help on which one to get would be much appreciated - and don't want to spend a bomb if possible!

    thanks

    Hi Alowe.

    Thanks for the post.

We really only sell one all in one type vinyl player system.
The Teac MCD800 coming in at £279

If you wanted to use they current stereo then you could go for something like the Audio Technica LP3 priced at £169 which would plug straigth into the aux on their Sony.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Kenny,

The Audio Technica LP3 looks like the better option for them. Can I ask, what is the difference between it and the Marantz TT5005? The sony has the red and white inputs.

    Thanks

    Hi Alowe.

Both the LP3 and the TT5005 are great little turntables.

The main difference is built quality. The LP3 is by far the better built and sound reproduction quality. The LP3 has the better tone arm and cartridge.
Both have a built in phono stage so can connect directly into their current Sony.
