Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    People only have the power over you, that you grant them

    Life is an interview for a job you didn't apply for

    If its for you, it won't go past you

    Heard this when I was a kid -

    God made the bees
    and the bees make honey;

    Man made the banks
    and the banks make money.

    ‘Ours Is not to reason why, ours is but to do and die’

    Another one from my dad, normally used after my mother gave out to me for something and I was complaining to him, I didn’t realize it was a quote from Tennyson until a few years back, though it was his own pearl of wisdom

    Whenever something bad happens a relative of mine usually exclaims "and let the harm of the year go with it!" before deftly moving on and dealing with the situation.

    A lot of the time we let minor things distract us from happiness too much and once we really face adversity we're not long putting things into perspective :)

    This too shall pass! (particularly relevant these days!)
