Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mould On Internal "Cold" Wall & Spray Foam Insulation

I am replacing my kitchen cabinets and have found black mould behind the sink unit (see photo).

It is against an outside wall, so I suspect it is all the way along. The area to be treated would be 2.5 meters by 1 meter.

I would like to get a solution that will be permanent and will not come back.

Keeping in mind that there will be plumbing along that wall (water in, sink out, dishwasher out and washing machine out), and also that it is a “cold” wall, I am not just looking to get rid of existing mould, but also to ensure it does not come back after I install the new kitchen.

    I have 2 Questions:-

    1) How best to get rid of existing mould
    2) I only have 50mm space behind the new cabinets (for plumbing). If I stud off the wall to 50mm would spray foam be a good idea to stop further mould by making the wall "Warm"
