Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If I heard a north inner city dublin accent on the phone I would assume it was a scam more than a Nigerian or Indian accent

It's great to see these scammer jobs being done by Irish people rather than being done by foreigners....

Pro move by joe actually having his 3 weeks off end on the bank holiday weekend, nice short week next week then. I have to say I do enjoy optimizing my own annual leave like that myself.

All I can think of with this is grandpa Simpson and the telemarketers..

It's not a scam you give them all your credit card numbers...and if one of them is lucky you win a prize!!!

London, England as opposed to London, Belize.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,011 ✭✭✭DoctorEdgeWild

Every single caller should be mortified telling stories of their own stupidity. Not one yet who actually has a decent case against the banks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,530 ✭✭✭PieOhMy

Imagine if the calls were from someone with a Welsh accent!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,322 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

It's the bank's responsibility to keep care of our details.

    Unbelievable.

YOU gave your details, not the bank. The bank weren't involved. Just you and your scammer mates.

  • Registered Users Posts: 108 ✭✭golondrinas1

This is absolutely unbelievable that people can't see they are at fault.
There is a bank in Wexford called the ballast bank. As you drive over the bridge you can see it sitting in the harbour . All these eejets should be rounded up and deposited on it just to keep them safe from themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,322 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

The bank concluded I was a tit and should know better.
    The bank was right.
