Bierhaus is teamed up with the Indian restaurant a couple of doors down.

Do they have tvs? Wasn't sure they showed matches

What's the verdict on the Indian restaurant they work with? We opted for Fran Well tonight over Bierhaus because I wasn't too sold on the chipper (Roosters Oil Pil) and had no idea as to the rep of the Indian plan.

    One large screen TV.
Bit of a rugby pub. Not sure of the current capacity. Might need to book.

Just to clarify, it's Rooster pil pil takeaway they've partnered with, not the Indian.

Anyone know what pubs in the city will be open over Christmas?

Hard to know really, some of the restaurant pubs aren't reopening even though they can.... https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=115468554&postcount=3785

Many of them pubs that opened in the last period masquerading as eateries (take-away nearby providing the menu etc) won't be able to this time around....

    https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/5b068-ireland-placed-on-level-3-of-the-plan-for-living-with-covid-with-special-measures-for-a-safe-christmas/
    From 4 December:

restaurants and pubs operating as restaurants (serving a substantial meal) may reopen for indoor dining with additional restrictions, (including requirement for meals to be prepared on site, inside the premises). This includes access for non-residents to restaurants in hotels

Yeah saw most of the Benny McCabe pubs don't seem to be. Guess it's down to whether pub has kitchen and whether they want to open. Will be interesting to see which ones do.

Strange as they did the outdoor seating in October and did a really good job setting it up in the smoking area.

Flannery's in Glasheen were putting the finishing touches on a massive outdoor covered area the other night so presumably they'll be open too.

Sober lane not opening either, they have said they are doing very well with their takeaway service. Electric takeaway menu looks so nice and u can pre order so I’m guessing they will be doing takeaway throughout.

    And impala not opening.

Any one know what’s happening with o sho pub on barrack street? I have messaged them a few times and have heard nothing back, they were doing takeaway drink all along.

Were they getting food in before, just I remember they were doing this really cool bottomless beamish and a toasted sandwich deal before the last lockdown. Also photos of their menu on Facebook.

I believe bringing some stuff in and you can't just make toasties this time and open unfortunately you have to have a hse approved kitchen and a chef. It's a disaster for a lot of bars that had deals with local pizza places etc to open last time are unable to this time. All food has to be prepared on site
