Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Permission from the landlord (council)
Then planning permission to put the container in place.

Both separate processes and you need the letter of consent from the council in order to apply for the planning.

    Standard time frame with planning.
3 months from the day you lodge.

Also, you may not get permission.
Also, you may not get permission from the landlord too (housing section).

TBH: I cannot see the LL giving consent for a shipping container

Does it not depend on the size? We have a 10×10 container in our garden. It's used like a garden shed. Don't think you need planning for that. Now, a 40ft container maybe a different story.

If you read the exemption criteria for sheds, the finish must match the main dwelling. I doubt you live in a container house :)
