    Going the right way, down!

And I know the number is the number but the 174 number was skewed by the numbers in Kildare alone but thankfully it's not going up again.

29 are men, 28 are women. 70% under 45 years old. 31 are associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of confirmed cases. 8 cases are community transmission.

Not too bad, the virus hopefully will be gone by the time schools reopen.

Bit of increase in CT probably expected with so many of the factory workers probably going about their normal lives lately while infected. Hopefully it will be contained to the lockdown counties and peter out.

While we're not sure on the Monday effect yet, considering they went hard testing in Kildare/Offaly/Laois, 19/10/0 is a positive sign.

    8 cases of community transmission

Which matches what they have been saying about levels in the community.

What's the estimates for today, my formula with the added results from yesterday the number could be between 250-350 today, with about 35 cases in Dublin

Might need to change your formula

8 / 57 community transmission is actually still a not a bad figure and less than the 20% they've been on about

So none in Laois today, 1 yesterday. Laois must be removed from lockdown now surely?

    How is Laois in lockdown.

    It had 0 cases today.

Anyone infected in the last week would not have shown by now.

They don't know the source of infection.

Untrackable cases, no links to outbreaks, just randomly catching it

What's your opinion on 57? Seems low in comparison to the 174 a few days ago but seems high for the 16 a day we had a few weeks ago. Good it's going in the right direction but it seems like a ticking time bomb just waiting for the huge number associated with the factories to come back, or perhaps we're lucky and the 174 were those numbers.

Had they been saying it would be 20% with the outbreak in Kildare was it ?

I think it's just as we expected to be honest. I'd expect 40/50/60 for the next week and decrease after that.

Yeah they were expecting 20%+ of cases to be untrackable

This is good. If the Tuesday figure (traditionally the weekly peak) is at or below 80 we can be fairly confident that these explosive outbreaks have been identified, traced and contained and hopefully reopen the 3 midland counties after the two week lockdown. And hopefully important lessons will have been learned to apply to other areas in the event of cluster outbreaks.

Keep doing what you're doing folks.

Contract tracing is difficult. I think it's worth saying that these are cases which they haven't been able to link to other cases, rather than cases which definitely aren't linked to other known cases.

The positive tests last 24hrs 124
    Confirmed cases last 48hrs 125

Good to see community transmission stay in single figures.
