Hi bought a Panasonic L42ET60B x display model off he about 5 years ago. A great telly until my 1 yesr old put a brush through the screen. Its about 300 to fix or would it be worth buying a new one? I don't want to spend more than 300. Have you anything x display. I was looking at the 32 inch Toshiba for 192, how does that compare? Or have you anything near the Panasonic?

    Kind Regards
    Brid

    Hi Brid,

    Thanks for the post! Nightmare!

The TXL42ET60 was a fantastic TV but I don't think the Toshiba 32" would touch it for picture quality.

I would recommend looking at a 4K TV but in a panasonic you would be going for the TX40HX800 which are coming in at £699! If you're looking for a good 32" we do have the LG 32LM6300 which is a great Full HD TV with smart hub and it's currently £219/249 euro?

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    Hi David

Would I be better off replacing the screen or getting the LG? Do you post? It's the playroom telly. I'm just worried if we replace the screen will we get long more out of a 6 year telly for the same money

    Kind Regards
    Brid

    Hi Brid,

Thanks for getting back to me!

If it's for the playroom I think the LG would be the way forward! We have a 6 year guarantee so you're guaranteed for another 6 years (unless another brush goes through it!). You could pay to repair the older TV but then you don't know if another part would fail given the age, there's just no way to tell unfortunately!

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi Brid,

Thanks for getting back to me!

The LG will stream Netflix for you but the Hisense has a 4K panel which will allow you to stream higher resolution Netflix 4K! I think the LG has a better smart hub but the Hisense would be better as it has the 4K panel!
