Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Definitely this one, from your list. It implies a range of other positive emotions like awe, delight, wonder, etc. I wonder will the rickshaws ever come back.

Meh, they’re just distillations of the basic six -

    Happiness
    Sadness
    Fear
    Disgust
    Anger
    Surprise

My ‘favourite’ on that list, or the one I find most useful at least, and the one that is often regarded as a negative emotion, is anger.

The thing I find useful about anger is that when it can have a positive motivational effect on a person, as outlined in this article -

While anger is often thought of as a negative emotion, it can sometimes be a good thing. It can be constructive in helping clarify your needs in a relationship, and it can also motivate you to take action and find solutions to things that are bothering you.

The type of person who finds it objectionable that men don’t cry, disgust me, frankly. They’re also generally the type of person in my experience who views anger as a negative emotion.
