189 in Dublin, any chance of getting called? Honestly happy with results as found assessment difficult.

Yeah they usually do s chunk at a time, last competition I did was either first 1 or 2 hundred got called to next stage on the first round

In the 170's for my first choice, which is a small county, so as good as failing really as only 2 locations really that would be taking EO's.

Didn't realise you are not placed in your second choice as a result, would have switched my preferences in that case as like to be more places there but probably much of a muchness really as that county would have more people applying for it.

You are placed in your second choice. It is going alphabetically by county.

What do you mean? If your second choice gets to your OOM first, you get called for that.

Passed. Scored high for the open oom for Clare. Elated to say the least.

What did you get, I’m between 190 and 200, can’t say exact for identity purposes 😂

    Just a passenger

Awesome, well done! You'll be getting an email soon no doubt. Out of interest, are you a CO or TCO now?

the county they have given me an OOM for was the county I marked as 1 on the application, so my first choice

Just FYI for future applicants, I got 75 in the numerical but took near 50 minutes to complete it. So if going overtime is penalised, it isn't penalised much. Or at least, it isn't some simple penalty.

What exactly is the order of merit? I passed and got it for dublin but a pretty high number.. is that number my stance on the results board?

Order of merit for the open stream in the 1800s

Do I have any chance at all??

Excellent. I can see how that would have been a benefit over external applicants considering they weighted the OOM on the verbal and questionaire and discarded the numerical.

Just got mine 5 minutes ago:

Your scores in the tests were as follows:

    Verbal Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 46

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 71

    Questionnaire
    Qualifying Score 37
    Your Score 57

I got OOM 97 for Dublin, is that good?

    Honestly didn't think id pass.

Congrats to those who passed and commiserations to those who didn't.

There will be more comps I'm sure. Head up.

I actually didn't realise the verbal test had started, so was just clicking through what I thought were mock pages to get to the proper test - ragin!

I got stung by this as well - they didn't signpost the start of the real test clearly, I was two or three questions in before I properly "switched on". A simple "Question 1 of 15" indicator would have helped (but maybe it was part of the test).

My scores in the tests were as follows:

    Verbal Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 68

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 48

    Questionnaire
    Qualifying Score 37
    Your Score 33

That was despite taking the guts of 50 minutes sweating through the numerical, so I think accuracy is markedly more important than speed for that. Gutted to be missing out due to the questionnaire, but I guess it's unsurprising seeing as I winged it. I guess I need to study up on the logic and methodology of SJTs and personality questionnaires for future comps.

Congrats to all those that succeeded!

Numerical is pass/fail. Doesnt seem to matter how long it takes.

    Your Score 47

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score    39
    Your Score 65

Passed myself and got Dublin as my first choice... anyone know what happens next? I can't seem to find the booklet of the process.

Congrats to everyone who passed BTW

failed verbal reasoning, yet passed the questionnaire and that headwrecker of a numerical reasoning test...

i really wanted to get this job...

when will they have another EO competition?

  • Registered Users Posts: 58 ✭✭dulachodladh

Got the message to say I passed, I’m actually stunned!

I’m way down the OOM but I’m just delighted to have passed regardless.

It's basically a ranking based on the results of the previous stage. At this point it will be used to call people for the next stage, after which the OOM will change again.

You're not officially on a panel yet. There's still E-Tray, and then interviews.
