Same here, which led to my confusion. I'm not currently employed with civil service but received a number for open and interdepartmental.

You probably applied for both not knowing the difference.

Did you tick Open and Interdepartmental on your application form?

You must have picked interdepartmental by mistake, you need to let them know

I can't believe I passed the maths - I took 35 mins but felt I guessed a lot of them, particularly the last few as I thought I was taking too long.
I got my email at 5.45 and my surname is K.
Can't believe I did so poorly in the Questionnaire ???!!! ....

    Open stream OOM: 946
    Interdepartmental stream OOM: N/A

While you were required to reach the qualifying standard in each test, your place on the order of merit was determined by your scores in the Questionnaire and Verbal Reasoning Test only.

Candidates were required to reach the qualifying standard in each test in order to qualify. I failed the etray test in 2016 but passed the interview .. fingers crossed I get another chance to do the etray.

Your scores in the tests were as follows:

    Verbal Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 71

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 53

    Questionnaire
    Qualifying Score 37
    Your Score 41

Total Score (Verbal & Questionnaire): 112

    That's probably what happened.

    Thanks

This is the slowest form of torture... just let me know already!!

    Passed! :D

    Numerical Reasoning Test

    Questionnaire

May I ask your score, that seems unreal.

I got 69 in the verbal 55 in numerical and 59 questionnaire

Based of other people scores a point extra either way counts for a lot.

  • Registered Users Posts: 731 ✭✭✭Butterface

Got OOM in the 70s in Galway, nothing for my 2nd choice yet.

    Verbal Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 66

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 56

    Questionnaire
    Qualifying Score 37
    Your Score 54

I really didn't think I passed the numerical so stopped following this thread!

It is really strange to me that the scores in the questionnaire takes preference to the scores in numerical. Numerical is pretty relevant to role, that questionaire completely irrelevant

Thats what I gathered from other posts, but I am not in it but have number for both

Further to your participation in Stage 1 (Questionnaire, Verbal assessment and Numerical Assessment) in respect of your candidature for the above competition, I am pleased to inform you that you have reached the qualifying standard and have been placed on the order of merit for Dublin.

    Open stream OOM: 1491
    Interdepartmental stream OOM: 539

While you were required to reach the qualifying standard in each test, your place on the order of merit was determined by your scores in the Questionnaire and Verbal Reasoning Test only.

I got 1491 in open stream too. Currently in public service as opposed to civil service so no inter-d for me

    Hi all,

So I passed, however it appears I inadvertently ticked Donegal instead of Dublin during the initial application. I’ve emailed PAS to explain that as I’m already a CO living and working in Dublin but I’m not hopeful. Is anyone aware of this happening before and PAS being sound? I’m devastated!

At least you will have an amusing anecdote to tell of how you ended up living in Donegal :-)

I'm still waiting!! Anyone on here apply for Wexford or Wicklow and have results yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭cyning

Top 5 for my county I’m actually thrilled: I honestly was pretty certain I had failed maths so massive surprise. Numerical is normally my strongest but was my weakest this time though. My results came in just after 7.

  • Registered Users Posts: 889 ✭✭✭messy tessy

    Fantastic, what county

Kilkenny. So number 61 probably isn't the best score. Delighted I passed anyway!

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,938 ✭✭✭✭paulie21

    Passed

    570 for Kildare
    260 for Laois

Might be waiting a while but could have slight chance

    Verbal Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 68

    Numerical Reasoning Test
    Qualifying Score 39
    Your Score 57

    Questionnaire
    Qualifying Score 37
    Your Score 40

Total Score (Verbal & Questionnaire): 108

Got placed 249 OOM in Galway.

I'm not currently civil service so does that mean the interdepartmental score is irrelevant?

  • Registered Users Posts: 569 ✭✭✭Dublintigger

    Whoop - congratulations everyone.

I passed too - high OOM's but passed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 57 ✭✭Josuke

143 in Galway, delighted that I got through the assessments 😅

I probably have to stay in Limerick now for family reasons and that was my other choice, does this mean I'm fully out of the running for Limerick? Should have picked Clare as my second choice :(

What is the Interdepartmental stream OOM? I thought that was if you were already in the Civil Service? I'm not but got a score for it (higher than my general).

    Hi
Can someone explain to me the diff between the two...

It means that there more people applied for the second county and therefore you are further down the list
