Yet Kim shrugged his shoulders and continued on with his missile testing. All Trump did was legitimise a despot

Yes, the world is such a better place. That transparent attempt to bolster Trump's election chances by two Trump crony countries peace deal has soothed everyone's nerves. Like all the major players such as Turkey and Iran are thrilled. Yes Kim is Trump's BFF. NK bombing the crap out of the NK/SK liaison centre in June was a direct result of four years of Trump's naivety in trying to pacify Kim a simple mistake. Imagine what the world would be like without Trump's incompetent narcissism statesmanship.

He's simperingly sucked up to tyrants, unleashed the national guard and secret police on Americans and now he's allegedly brokered a peace deal between two countries who weren't at war.

    Some achievement.

Are you asking "were UAE/Israel at war?"
    The answer is no.

Egypt and Jordan already have diplomatic relations with Israel, and now UAE too.
    More to follow I hope.

    That's your flaw right there

Firstly, outside of the fact you've tried to big him up far too much. He narrowly avoided staring a war with Iran... Americans vote on domestic policy in an election, 200k plus dead by election day will define this election. Also he's spent the entirety of his presidency courting controversies. No president has been so publicly obsessed with his popularity....

If only they had some sort of deal with Iran?
Palestine are not even getting a mention.

Wasn’t there big fanfare over a peace deal back in January?

If he didn't spend so much time stoking division and intolerance in his own country, then maybe people could get more complimentary about his foreign policy "achievements".

"...we are working with Europe on their difficulty's and we are going to help them all the way."

Its also nice that the Trump administration is giving aid to us in Europe, this is also a vote winner.

Naive much, you do know Donnie ended up getting money from Russia to prop. up his business, because he couldn't/wouldn't pay his creditors ranging from small family business he repeatedly stiffed, to international banks.

    What did Trump do?

More than likely this was done in the background and he only found out about it after it was all done.

Yes, great that the well known devastating war between the UAE and Israel is now over. Shook hands and sent beautiful love letters to a tyrant who has continued to launch missiles.

Peace President? Trump has authorised more drone strikes in his 3.5 years than Obama did in 8 years. He also has suppressed mechanisms requiring the reporting of civilian deaths from drone strikes. The lies just roll off the tongue from Trump and his supporters.

In Trumps world Drone strikes are like Covid cases/deaths, if no one knows about them then they never happened.

And thats why it was kept quiet until it was a done deal, he would have barged in trying to get in the limelight and fùcked it up somehow.

I haven't been paying attention to the polls for obvious reasons but iv'e just had a look there and bunker Joe is on average holding a 6% lead over the president at this stage. Clinton was almost double that at 11% at the same stage 4 years ago and yet still lost.

FiveThirtyEight has the average at 8.5%, which is a higher average than Hilary’s peak.

Sure trump was 3/1 on election night 2016, wouldnt take the odds into account for now.

Especially with all the cheating he's been doing. The extent to which he manages to suppress voters will be the only deciding factor.

I think he was worried about the cheating regarding mail in voters, that is why he brought up mail in voting fraud concerns so early last year. He is an ass but he is not a bad president, when the news outlets have to make up stories('very fine people', Russian collusion, Mexicans...are animals) in order to discredit him you know he is doing things right. I used to hate him too before realising most of the stuff I disliked him for were lies.

Much of it is also just political theater, for example Trumps has been friends with the Clinton's in the past and even donated to Clinton campaign. If there was a better candidate this time around I would say vote for them regardless of party but there is not.

He's an atrocious and highly divisive president that has failed to achieve anything politically. Also for a man who intended to drain the swamp, he has an incredible amount of staff that ended up in jail and ones that he even went as far as helping out eg Roger Stone.

In relation to mail in voting, there is not an established basis for such fraud affecting an election. We have a far more established basis for Russian election interference which he has made no effort to combat. If anything he's trying to hijack the postal service in an effort to win the election.

    He's been called out by many people now for it, and he won't respond. Here's 2016 vs 2020 (so far) in the polling averages;

Obviously the huge glaring difference between then and now is that trump is no longer an unknown quantity....

His quantity and quality are all too well known unfortunately

Thats the bit that Trump supporters just dont seem to get, they constantly point to 2016 and the polls as evidence that he is still going to win here.

Problem with that is he was an unknown quantity in 2016 and that coupled with an unpopular Hillary meant some voters said well lets just give this guy a chance. He has had his chance now and the results of it arent looking great. The political circumstances for the 2020 election are entirely different from the 2016 one.

Anyway Michael Cohens book is set to be released on Sept 8th. In it we are going to learn the details of Trump getting a golden shower in Las Vegas, fun times ahead. The Orange One likes to be pissed on, it'll be interesting to see what the evangelicals make of this one :D

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism started tracking drone strikes in Afghanistan in 2015. As an official war zone, Afghanistan is typically classified separately from the drone campaign, because the U.S. military operates openly and has more strategic options. The vast majority of the 2,243 strikes attributed to Trump took place there.

In August 2017, Trump gave a speech announcing an escalation in Afghanistan. It’s hardly a secret. And it’s unclear whether the increase in drone strikes represents an increase in overall military activity or just greater reliance on drones relative to manned aircraft or ground operations.

An apples-to-apples comparison of drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia shows more continuity between administrations than disruption. The BBC’s claim is misleading and merits a correction. Worries about Trump’s management of the drone program compared to Obama’s derive, at least in part, from inaccurate information.
