I mean, really. Goodyear? Bans political attire, and he tweets about it calling for a boycott?

    Goodyear?

    Trump cancel culture.
Imagine any other president calling for a boycott of a huge American company.

His complaint is that they have banned MAGA hats , but a BLM or Pride t-shirt etc is still ok.

The Goodyear position is - Supporting Social Justice issues ok , explicit support for a specific Politician or Party , not ok.

What he doesn't say is that equally someone can't wear a BIDEN 2020 t-shirt either.

And just like that, trump supporters are filling Goodyear’s media pages with vitriol.

“Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is an American tire manufacturing company founded in 1898 and based in Akron,Ohio. They employ about 69,000 people including at least a thousand veterans.”

    Is Ohio a swing state?

He did the same with Harley Davidson at the start of his term.

It completely exposes he line that he is all about MAGA and America 1st.

He is only interested in Trump 1st.

sort of but not one of the really close ones.

It is, and it's where Gym Jordan hails from. Not his district, though, Akron.

    It is the year.

Biden currently leading by 2 points , inside the margin of error.

Trump led Clinton pretty much all the way in 2016 eventually winning by 8 points - Polls had him 3.5 up.

Still probably going to Trump this time around , but he will have to spend more than he'd like to make sure.

This is yet another example of "America is just weird" that I'll never quite understand.

The concept of wearing clothing supporting a specific political party to your place of work is just fundamentally weird to me (It's weird anywhere tbh , but at work especially)

Can you imagine rocking up to work in a "Vote FF/SF/FG" or whatever hat r t-shirt here.

Aside from probably being told by your manager to change , I'm fairly confident that the level of ridicule directed towards you by pretty much every other employee would be more than enough to make you instantly regret the decision.

Same with bumper stickers , attending rallies , flags in the garden or any of the other public displays of ones political persuasion.

It's a mindset I just don't get and despite spending a lot of time in the US over the last number of decades I don't think I ever will.

no ****. one without any consequences as well.

As the saying goes "It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6".

I am forever suggesting to my american wife that we should raise a large chinese flag outside out house and see what happens. Probably nothing in fairness

It got 10 times worse after September 11.

The rest of the world does America no favours by treating what happens in America as 'important' news.

Reading a bit more on the Goodyear thing.

This isn't a new policy or anything. This has been their position for quite some time.

Quite why Donald Trump chose to get stuck in here the day after former Republican Governor of Ohio, John Kasich endorsed Joe Biden for President is anyone's guess.

Yet you can literally go around these boards parrotting a known provable lie such as 'trump advocated to drink bleach'.

Trump is far right, trump is literally hitler etc.. etc..

    Another win for the wokes.

No different than going on about biden being senile etc

The presidential limo "the Beast" uses specialised tyres made with kevlar lining that have extended run flat capability and are as puncture proof as a tyre can be. Just have one guess who makes these special tyres???? :D

Also official tyre of NASCAR. The Trump base will be so conflicted.

This is absolutely delicious. Jim Jordan, Republican House Representative from Ohio, wrote a piece today claiming that if Joe Biden gets elected President, 'cancel culture' will get worse. On the same day President Trump is urging people to boycott and essentially 'cancel' Goodyear - an American company based in OHIO!!!

    That's just comical. :D:pac:

Yep - I should mention that the DNC has also courted the McCain wing of the GOP party. Probably the Romneys also.

Courting war mongers to own the cons.

I fully expect George Bush to close the show tomorrow night painting, while fellow war mongers David Frum and Lincoln Project videos to play in the background.

    So progressive. :)

Still better than Trump and the GOP.

Jim Jordan is as thick as a ditch, the fact that he can be publicly elected to any position at all is frankly astonishing.

Still better than Trump and the GOP.

    Of course it is.

Still shouldn't mean that every form of criticism of the DNC is shut down by a whataboutism regarding the GOP.

2020 what a horrible state US politics is.

Can't even be excited about the future, left wingers will take a backseat to ****ty "moderate " Republicans in a Biden regime while the RNC will be taken over by a genuinely competent fascist who will probably win in 2024.

He's not though and that's the real problem.

He knows well this culture war drivel keeps the plebs happy all day.

He complains a lot about "free speech" been regulated and to Joe Bloggs that appears a fair thing to discuss, but his issue is conservatives don't have a monopoly on it.

And plenty of money from these "left wing" tech giants who he "rallies" against on a daily basis goes to him in campaign funds etc.

Tucker or maybe someone like Hawley. You could see someone emerge from congress who may run on a similar Trump type vibe, not sure who yet though?

Thankfully Tom Cotton is to dull to win anything because he is the worst of all worlds, he was at one time both liked by Anne Coulter and Bill Kristol.

Imagine how bad you have to be to get both on your side.

I'm surprised he is still using the MAGA slogan. To me it infers that he has not done such a great job in his first term as promised in his previous campaign. It's a tired lazy slogan.
