Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ethernet cable to DSL cable adaptor

    Hi, I'm building a new house. All internal plastering is done so cables are not visible anymore. I asked the electrician to set it up so we could place the router in the centre of the house. I can see he's run an ethernet cable from the router position to the telephone box on the outside wall of the house. Is this the right type of cable? Is it actually a thinner DSL cable that's needed to connect externally? If so can a simple adaptor be used at either end? Thanks.

    Ethernet cable is a better choice. Hopefully you won't be stuck with DSL for the rest of your life!
    You can actually plug an old telephone cable into the CAT6 socket so if it's terminated at each end you can use the cables you'd expect.
