No mention of Liverpools loss and a rugby pod on Monday.

Clearly the pod was recorded on Thursday evening.

They seem to record a lot of the Friday pods on a Thursday if they can. Fair play.. I'd be doing the same if I were them!

I find they have too much soccer coverage, the brief chat about socialism in Irish rugby was at least something different.

That edited clip of the McDevitt/Kiernan row was funny.

They definitely have one foot in the weekend by the time Thursday evening comes along. Frances Murphy's guide to the weekend is the definition of filler.

Though, yesterday's pod was excellent in fairness.

Presume they had a Kiernan tribute pod ready to go for Friday.

I’d have taken another soccer one instead of the athletics one. And instead of US Murph earlier in the week, he’s awful.

So basically you want a soccer pod?

Not normally but they’re preferable for me than athletics or US Murph. I’d love if they got someone better on for the US stuff even.

Alas, it might be the end of the Ken and Lampard story quite soon as strong rumours Lamps is on the way out the door.

Ken's life will lose all meaning. I have to say i do enjoy his lampard rants this is a sad day.

Let's hope they haven't recorded an early Monday pod.
The details are coming out now so a late pod today will be some good entertainment.

I was even thinking during the Chelsea match; Mount captain, Kepa mistake, Werner penalty miss. Lots for Ken to talk about!

A good time for the sacking tho as it’s FA cup weekend and not much really happened. Hopefully this will be the last week of the Frank obsession!

This requires an additional emergency podcast

    Unlikely... Ken is a red

Same today, 2 minutes talking about Liverpool losing and then 30 minutes on a fairly pointless munster Leinster game.

Did they ever say where the other lad is?

If you are looking for a fix Dunphy did close to an hour with Johnny Giles on the Liverpool crisis, wasn’t the worst podcast.

Powerful stuff with Ciara Mageann remembering Jerry Kiernan today.

Another reminder of why Eoin McDevitt is one of the best in the business. His sensitive handling of the interview with an understandably emotional Mageean was a masterclass in interviewing.

From his erudite contributions to RTE over the years we were all well aware of Kiernan's passion for athletics. What this interview shone a light on was the measure of the man.

Such a great point on Eoin. He really let’s interviews flow and doesn’t ask too many questions or interrupt. He’s also very honest, like in the Fionn Davenport interview, he’s says “this isn’t the usual types of interviews I do”. Just makes him more likeable and puts everyone at ease.

Totally agree, I was thinking the same thing listening to both of those interviews.

He let's people talk and express themselves and doesn't feel the need to butt in - a great skill when dealing with difficult subjects.

Tuned in looking forward to Lampard sacking talk to be met with Murph presenting and also Shane Horgan on, what a disappointment

Yep I thought it was a poor podcast.

Having heard it lots of times before, the Jimmy Magee sound bed “he’s the champion, the champion, the champion” made me a little emotional after the Kiernan tribute.

Yeah no disrespect to Murph but he is a sidekick to the two leading men and Horgan sucks the life out of anything he is on

“Mcguigan being swept away, your commentator with him”. Fantastic

I presume the rugby torture is a tool to get more people fully signed up so they can hear soccer chat, not a bad idea!
